Zach has has one below average game and we still wins against the best defense and he gets this much shit. Unbelievable.
Zach has played well all season. He has one so called "bad" game avoids about 10 sacks and this is the shit you post? Let me guess a Pats fan?
All of these are great points. I'm waiting for that statement game where Zach takes over and just makes plays after plays. Right now he's relying on a great defense and hopefully still a great running game. He hasn't turn the ball over so that's a plus. Does he have the "It" factor is what I'm looking for. Again, I'm getting big "Sanchez" vibes and that didn't ultimately turn out well. I'm still supporting him, but he makes me nerves most times he throws the ball down the middle of the field and deep passes. He's needs to improve his accuracy overall.
One freaking 8 minute stretch doesn't justify his overall play till now bro. He needs to play better overall game in and game out.
Why do people like you always have to go personal, rather making an intelligant point? Try actually reading what I said... I was commenting on a pre-draft Zach video. There's a fix... just ignore my posts, if you have nothing to say.
This is a really good point. When you play against #1 and #2 passing defenses back to back on the road, your confidence is not going to be super high. A mistake is very costly. It's hard to get going, particularly when you are basically playing not to lose with the defense doing so well and it's hard to get points. That's why as bad as Zach was, he was in line with other QBs Denver has faced. With all that said, Zach can do better, and I believe he will do a lot better in the next game when the defense, while good, is not top 2 passing defense in the League.
Come on man, you can't say blatantly false things like this and then get upset when people push back on them... Some numbers on Wilson's season so far: 24th in sack rate (despite being average in time until pressured, so we can't blame the OL) 25th in adjusted net yards per attempt 20th in QBR 32nd in QB rating 17th in interception % 35th in TD % 33rd in completion % These are all per-attempt so we can't blame the lack of passing attempts. I don't want to hear the "we're running the ball well so why pass?!" excuse either because that would turn into "no QB can pass well without a good running game!" if we weren't running well (and again, these are per attempt so it's an irrelevant excuse anyway). We have a few more drops than league average, not enough to move the needle much and it's a flimsy excuse anyway since Wilson's lack of touch and inaccuracy has led to a lot of those drops. In b4 I'm accused of "not watching the games" despite watching all of them and having the concerns I laid out after his first start all be further confirmed since then. I think it's pretty clear we are winning despite Zach Wilson, not because of him.
Advice to everyone.... STOP criticizing Zach because Cval said so and yes we're all patsy fans because you've figured us out... What an insanely DUMB post....
This will be Zach's 18th start in his pro career so let's judge him on par with other QB'S at the same point in their careers. Essentially this is Zach's 2nd season. Basically still a rookie. Not to use this as a excuse for the subpar play though.
Here you go with this crap. It really does get tiring. He played at an elite level for the fourth quarter of the Pitt game and we one because of him. Jets Win Played great against Miami completing a high percent of his passes and for all intent and purposes 2 TDs O Interceptions. Jets win Plays within the game plan makes a huge throw to break the game wide open against the Packers. The Jets win Goes to Denver where they have made every QB they played look bad. Manages not to make a critical mistake. Jets Win His escapbility has been the key to winning all four games. The Jets have not won four games in a row in who know how long and Jet fans shit on their QB? But yeah pick the stats that suit your narrative. We are the only team in the NFL that has been the laughing stock have only one 6 games in the last two years go on four game winning streak and shit on our QB. Most of it is brought on by Trolls and Pats fans the gullible Jets fan starting jumping in. It really is sickening. Enjoy the win streak. We are playing meaningful football in October and November. Win have won 4 in a row and have great chance to extend the streak to 5. Like it, believe it, or deny it Zach is a big reason they are winning.
You are a Pats fan. What Jets fan would go this far to criticize their QB on a four game winning streak. None
You recently went on a rant about how Sauce is a terrible tackler and scared. He then led the team tackles the next game. So this thread gives me optimism for Zach
Everyone wants him to be the NYJ fanchise QB--he's just got a lot of baggage for a 2nd pick. I'm not a QB expert so I was hoping our scouts were right but he did nothing to impress me in what I saw of him in college including the whole Costal Carolina game--hell, I didn't even know he was a big prospect at the time. That doesn't mean he can't turn out good but the data isn't there to be confident. Let's be real--at this point it don't look good especially after watching that youtube college analysis made before the draft someone posted today. He's making the same mistakes--other than wishful thinking, what aspects of his game leads to the conclusion he's gonna be a FQB?
Here's my problem with the majority of Zach criticisms: They're stated as though they're not correctable, that this is his ceiling, that we've seen his best and he sucks. This is so obviously untrue that I won't spend any more time trying to rebut it. I'll just say this: if this assessment was true, do you think Douglas and Saleh would still be supporting him, would not have gotten another QB on the roster to replace or at least compete with him? If you do, thin again.
