Current 3 Zach threads will be merged. This one and my Zach threads will be merged with the "Losing faith in Zach thread later tonight)
It’s interesting to note that before the game yesterday some here went on record to say BB and company were going to decapitate us and show the world we are not what the record says. A theme used before the Miami, GB and Denver games, with massive excuses as to why it didn’t happen afterwards. Now less than 24 hours later, the Pats have issues and some now reverse that and say we should have no trouble beating them soundly or we have issues. Sound like preparing for the next set of excuses. IMO NE is a tough opponent that we must be concerned with and play our A game. They will come prepared and pissed off. The only thing I’m willing to guarantee is the following, if we loose, many will point out we can’t even beat the mediocre Pats, like all of the sudden they are garbage, and if we win, they will dismiss it once again and say, wait till Buffalo, that’s the only good team, blah, blah, blah.
What I'll "guarantee" is that BB hates losing to us worse then anything else and will definitely have been preparing for this game since it came up on the schedule. If anything, he overlooked Chicago and they took advantage. This will be every bit the test it always is. BB has something to prove, and he doesn't want to fall behind us any farther in the division. This might well be their hardest game so far.
No doubt what’s so ever. I suspect he keeps a secret file on every player and play call made by the Jets, and works relentlessly to put our team in a weak position. You are spot on. I feel this is a great test to our resilience, correcting for the loss of out top players and coming up with innovative plays to keep them on their toes.
They have temporarily stopped their unrelenting attacks on JD and to some degree Saleh just to focus on Zach. I would not be surprised if they suddenly start saying they loved JD all along. They just post for attention my advice is don't give it to them. Ignore them and treat them as if they don't exist. Their posts are worthless, lack fact, knowledge and logic. They are just made to get people riled up and draw attention to themselves. But most of all please don't go insulting anymore boxes of rocks by comparing them to their posts. To my knowledge no rocks make posts that bad.
I’m using Sanchez as an example of “Give him a chance” not he’s the same as Sanchez. Sanchez showed very little growth in 3 or 4 years. Zach has shown growth from year 1 and 2 already. The season isn’t even over and people are done with him. He’s frustrating at times to be sure, but y’all are ready to hang him out to dry….and we’re winning. It’s just weird to me. Give him until the end of the season at least. The funny thing is, last season I was one of the ones that said he stinks and I’m giving him a chance. I’m not saying he’s the second coming, but damn give him a little time.
Yea I expect BB to have a plan to force Wilson to try to carry the offense. He’s made our QB’s look terrible in the past. Wilson can provide some peace of mind in this game and I can’t wait to see him play live. If they can move the ball on the Patriots after they suffered a brutal loss on national tv it’ll be impressive. Impressive like the way Breece was carrying the offense before his injury.
I bet if you merged all of these threads, you wouldn't even be able to tell how little sense they made.
Seems to me that it’s the perception that posters are one side or the other regarding Wilson. It’s closer to the middle than it is further apart. Not being convinced yet isn’t the same as giving up on him. He’s got the tools but he hasn’t put it together in his first full season worth of games. Barring injury we should know what we have by the end of the season. He’s got a good defense and skilled playmakers so there’s no reason that he shouldn’t start to excel as the season goes on.
ESP with inaccurate throws...just saying. Look what he did to mims last week on the slant...behind and mims took a big hit.
Wilson is late with his throws. That’s why they are behind the receivers. He’s still not adjusted to the NFL speed or processing his reads fast enough. He’s not inaccurate, just not processing fast enough. And when he does see it he’s overthrowing it half the time. I think as season goes on, he fixes it though.
Wilson is the QB that the coaching staff wants. He runs the offense and never gives the defense a short field. If you saw last night's game you saw two QB's that cannot throw the deep ball well. The safeties can creep up and stop the running game because they don't respect the New England ability to get behind them. Zach has a big arm and the defense worries about it. It keeps the running game alive because the Jets have speedy receivers who can go long if necessary.
Watching that video, is troubling, as Zach's making a lot of the same mistakes this season. My main concern was always his accuracy. Seeing that video now, it seems Zach has been kinda castrated, into order to prevent his past mistakes. Idk, would it be better to let him make mistakes, & try to learn from them? Because right now, Zach seems to be playing tight, & scared. Obviously, I hope the CS is handling him correctly, but in some sense they may be 'shielding' him from becoming more than a game-manager.
See, I can live with that. I feel like I’m being middle of the road here. There’s room for improvement, but at the same time what he’s doing is working. Two things can be true. This is one of those things.
