Joe Douglas continues to prove he is THE MAN. Great move! James Robinson is a solid solution to the problem of losing Breece Hall. A 5th Round pick is fine too.
Thanks! He looks plenty explosive and fast to me! But why would J'ville give him up and so cheaply? Maybe because of JD's "Svengali" eyes?
he prob wanted someone better even for a 6th and Jags want to feature Travis so this works out for both parties
James Robinson keeps getting a raw deal in Jacksonville. I can't believe they're moving him for at all and for so cheap. This changes the narrative after today's injury news
The best part about this trade is that Joe Douglas and the Jets are not messing around. They want to win and they want to win this year. Such a breath of fresh air for Jets fans. Gotta love and embrace that!
What a move by Joe, and wasted absolutely no time as well. Robinson is a good back and a perfect pair with Carter, and for a low round pick is truly amazing. He was playing well at the beginning of the season and now on a new ball club should rejuvenate him. Didn't realize he had lost his job to Etienne. Love this pick up.
I’m still shocked we made a nice that quickly and for someone like Robinson I couldn’t be happier. Wonder if JD has anything up his sleeve to help w e Oline? Or we just gonna wait on Fant/Mitchell to get back soon
It’s a good value move imo. He’s not Hall, not very fast, but he’s a tough high character guy that you can depend on. Gives us options as we need to keep running the ball. Hopefully we can get some lineman back healthy.
I love this move but as I'm sitting here thinking about things... ...but. Does this not feel a bit like putting the cart before the horse?
I saw the terms were that 600 yards = 5th round pick. I I hope that's 600 yards for the Jets (which would be 60 yds/ game average), not 600 total, because he's already at 340 yards (only need 260 more, or 26/ avg per game to escalate from 5 to 6).
Very good move + price. 5th or 6th is whatever. It’s a lottery ticket. Jrob got a super raw deal in Jax thanks to urban Meyer. Excited to see him here
Not even a little bit. He’s cheap, RFA, fits the offense, cost a day 3 pick and is a very clear upgrade over the other options on the roster. What’s to second guess?
Soooo if he balls out this year we can keep him for roughly 4mill and potentially trade him for a 3rd, that would be hilarious
