Good find! I wonder if anyone followed up with Vrabel on that one. He sure doesn't look happy sitting next to the GM when it was announced...
I think they are trying to do everything in their power to keep him. Regardless of his behavior, he has a ton of talent and we are 1 injury away from needing him. If Saleh thinks he can smooth it over, let him try. There is no obligation to move him now, and luckily we have been winning with him not contributing.
Yeah, ok. Again, it would be a positive for a player to know he could get moved whenever he was unhappy. Simple as that.
At the end of the day, the NFL is big business. Just like Elijah believes that he’s gotta do right by himself and his family, the same can be said for JD, Saleh, and everyone else in the Jets organization. I’m sure they all truly feel that Elijah is a big part of what they’re trying to build here and want to keep him. JD also wanted to make sure that Jamal Adams was a “Jet for life” and we all saw how that worked out. At the end of the day, both parties will do what’s in their best interest, as they should. Hopefully they can resolve this and bring Elijah back into the fold but if they have to move him, I’ve got faith in JD that he’ll get value in any deal for Elijah.
You missed the point per usual. The point was about coaches saying they aren't trading a player that then gets traded.
to me this is a non issue. Happens all the time. Could be intentional. Could be it’s honest and things change or you get a crazy good offer. Who gives a shit. Non issue. it’s all business…I think players may avoid going to a terrible coach like Gase or a terrible situation, but stuff like this I doubt makes a difference…
Bill P wouldn't have waited for the twitter rant. He would have seen Moore dogging some routes and tore into him right away. Probably even bench him. If Moore didn't like it, he'd be gone.
That is an interesting point. Yes, he has talent, but so far he looked as our 3d best receiver. And to be frank he looked like total shit in last two games, playing a huge role in Wilson INT giving up on the route, not able to separate in the last game, even though Alexander was on GW all game, not keeping feet in bounds on a great pass from Zach a game before and slowing down on another good one last game. Last year he also started slow and we attributed it to a rookie slump, injury, etc... Now he started slow as a second year player. There is a possibility the guy is just not as good as we thought. Or better suited a slot guy, where GW has played better than him. Perhaps eventually GW can move to outside and Moore can be a slot. But right now it appears he and GW are basically replicas of each other, not compliments, where GW is a better version.
Very selfish act! Must have a high ego and/or listening to someone giving him bad advice. I hope Douglas doesn't move him on the cheap.
I’m not saying that I disagree, but times have really changed in the NFL. The strict in your face attitude has given way to a more physiological approach for todays athletes.
