he's serious. moore is legit. excellent hands, speed, excellent route running. would be a killer slot WR but is still solid on the outside. think prime randle cobb but faster. with that said no way I want to let him go, we look like a legit playoff team this year and he's still a starter and there is a big drop off form him to berrios and a huge drop off form berrios to smith/mims so it would hurt the WR core badly. and he's on a cheap deal for this year and 2 more. it would take IMO 2 2nds or a 1st to get him and even then the chances on hitting on a WR as good as him would be slim. i'd rather we keep him and work it out.
no it's not. it's typically the same money overall but the player gets more upfront and the team gets cap relief. they convert salary to a bonus so they get paid the same but get it earlier then the cap hit gets stretched across multiple years instead of all in 1 year. easy example player makes 10 mil salary for 4 years cap hit is 10 mil a year team needs room changes the salary in year 2 from 10 mil to 1 mil but gives a 9 mil bonus. the new cap hit is now 4 mil (saves 6) but the 2 future years are now 13 instead of 10
dude posted Robbie Anderson numbers in his first year i liked he and mims both coming out of college... but they have been found wanting and now they have to grind if they wanna get theirs
Cut him or trade him asap. I don’t care how much potential he has. Nobody is bigger than this team and his distraction cannot be afforded.
Wow you think they could potentially fish a first rounder for Moore? I hope so, I was honestly not even thinking of a second, but more of a third straight up.
Brandon Marshall is one of the worst on air personalities I've ever heard. Always has bad takes and just rambles on about god knows what. Apparently though the Jets organization made a huge impact on him, and for whatever reason he loves the team and supports them to the fullest. My only issue was he was only a Jet for a cup of coffee and outside of one outstanding individual year in 2015, had no overall team success. It's one thing if it was let's say Keyshawn Johnson who professes his love for the organization. That would make perfect sense, but not B Marsh. That guy was a much better player and spent more time in other organizations then his tenure here. Sorry just had to rant on that one lol.
I don't think so. Saleh want's "Positive Vibes Only". They'll spin it in way that reads 'we wanted Elijah to be part of the Jets, but, this was the best for all parties'. Hopefully, it all works out and this will be just a small blip on the radar.
Moore is not going to be traded. If the jets did entertain offers it is basically telling everyone on the team that if you don't like the way things are going you can just demand a trade. I was happy when the Jets drafted him and saw the high ceiling he had but he obviously has some mental issues ala Antonio Brown. Just let him take up space on the taxi squad and call it a day.
He may want positive vibes only but when he says "trading him is not an option," that's pretty unequivocal. How can people not question the coach's claims or anything else he says after making a statement like that if the player is then traded? He's come close to that before when he told everyone on a Thursday that Wilson might play much earlier than he was ready and then we found out he had not even run on his repaired knee but there is no shade of gray involved this time, it is totally black and white. Does nobody care about integrity any longer? Certainly there are people here who believe everything a coach says to a reporter even when they are only hinting and not making promises about anything. The bigger problem such a scenario would create would not be the scorn from the media and fans but the distrust it would create for players coming to the team knowing that no matter what the coach tells them he cannot be trusted.
Except that vs Green Bay, Moore was NEVER open. He was covered like a blanket on every play and dogged it, jogging much of the time.
yup, having three slot receivers the main one. or the player could deal with it and get on with being a team man and wait his turn for the limelight, it was only after Zach's first game back that people said he was favouring Moore over Wilson because he threw at him last year. I like the kid and think he is talented but can't be done with stroppy divas, my bet is JD doesn't like stroppy divas either and he will be gone if the right offer is phoned in.
