The one drop that comes to mind was Carter opening day dropping that TD pass on fourth down I think.

I remember a lot more drops last year….

I still think the uniforms suck... but they are less annoying when parlayed with wins...

Damn... that is a horrible looking chart.

    We need to flip that.

Evidently, there have been a lot of drops so far this season (19) by his counting. I know that Conklin has dropped at least 3, including a TD pass. GW has dropped at least 5-6. Cager dropped 1-2, I think. I don't know how many Davis, Moore, Berrios, Smith, Carter, Hall, Uzomah, Ruckert, and Yeboah might have dropped, if any, but if he's correct that they have dropped 19 passes, there are 8-10 dropped passes unaccounted for.

I asked Anthony Reinhard what that means exactly. He said that he thinks the Jets have lost 45 points so far. If he's anywhere near accurate, then we might be 5-1 at this point, and all the harping/doubting of Zach would have no grounds or basis in fact.

    Zach is not the problem.

He's caught every pass thrown his way...;)

Not true, he dropped that double pass. I am not sure that counts as a pass because it was backwards. :)

I blame M. Carter for that.

    He's a horrible quarterback...

Let's also do a count of dropped interceptions as well. I recall at least 2 dropped interceptions by the Steelers and 1 dropped interception by the Packers

    My 2 cents.
I think is fair to say that the team as a whole from the CS on down has exceeded the early expectations of most all Jets fans. The majority see our performance a huge improvement over last year, exciting as hell and fun to watch at this stage of the season while some have immediately put the early expectations behind them, down play the merit of every win and feel compelled to dwell on the errors made and scoring points left on the table instead. Two different perspectives. To each his own.
But in either case the facts don’t change. These wins were hard fought to the whistle, in complete team unity, with 100% energy and against good opponents.
This level of intensity, tenacity and will to win has not been present in 15 or more years. Long way to go still but Big, Big change.
It is also important to point out that when people talk about improvements for this team moving forward they single out Wilson 99% of the time, after all he is under the spotlight, is he a franchise QB? They need to know now. But IMO what’s expected is slow steady small improvements as the team jells as a unit. Yes he needs to get better, no doubt, but so does the rest of the team. Putting the team on his shoulders is at least a year away.
Zach for now needs to be a piece to the solution, and not the cause of the loss, and continue to grow and open up the playbook to achieve his potential.
But for now, I’m delighted with the early results, look forward to the next game, celebrate every win, and happy with baby step improvements each and every week.
This is the NFL, there are no ugly wins or “gimmies”. Every game counts big.
Only one thing matters and Al Davis said it best “ Just win baby”

It's not enough but it's a step in the right direction he's only played 16 games in his career so far and he has improved he is only thrown three interceptions in his past eight games that's progress now let's see him carry the team that's the next step

We're closing teams out in the 4th quarter by playing great defense and running the shit out of the ball. In the meantime, Wilson continues to learn the position and not try to do too much. I've got no problem with that - it's been a long time coming.

I hate PFF with a passion, but Zach a top 5 rated passer with a clean pocket.

That’s one of the concerns. He hasn’t developed touch and his (short) passes are coming out of a cannon.

    *this has been well documented

It’s a glaring weakness imo and they need to address it. Screens and dumpoffs can be game breakers when properly executed and someone makes a play, and we have the guys that can make the play.

Yes. For Zack, that's exactly what it will take, a full season of small steps. If Saleh, LeFleur, and us can be patient, all will be fine.

Wait...you don't think a run first offense is protecting a young QB????

I don't think that is why we are a run first offense.
