Like I said: Saleh is starting the process of undoing the "Same Ol' Jets". Maybe he will have the team ready for this.
We lost 26-0 to Denver in their building last year. Saleh and a lot of the players were here for that. I get that we're coming off a big win and have the Patriots game next week. But I don't buy this as a trap game. If we lose, it isn't because it was a trap game. We're underdogs for a reason.
Neither did I. But when a team decides to play you instead of taking a bye...receipts getting audited bitches
I thought that perhaps they get to choose whether or not they take the bye week, and also if so they are promised a home game, but not who they play. The only reason I now think it could be the case is because Saleh and obviously Mike LaFleur are so close to Packers HC Matt LaFleur. They would know that.
Trap or no trap, this young team is going to lose plenty of games yet. That's okay by me-- as far as I'm concerned the rebuild is ahead of schedule and they'll learn by fighting through some losses, too-- but most Jets fans are going to fall apart instantly and want everyone's head on a platter. So ahead of time: Can we please try to modulate the overreactions a little bit? No? Well, I tried.
Is that really true we picked you guys after London. If so we got cocky and we paid for it. I’m sorry we disrespected you guys.
I'm not sure if it's true or not but of all of the eligible opponents, the Jets were the logical choice. I don't see it as disrespectful.
I think a lot of that depends how they play tonight against the Chargers. If the Broncos shit the bed again and it looks like an easy victory for the Jets that has way more of a trap game look than if they somehow pull off the victory.
BTW: Since we played the Broncos in Denver last year, why isn't this game being played in NY/NJ this year?
Yeah the report sounds a little suspicious in itself. I believe the Packers were given the choice of a bye or a home game - not quite sure they actually were allowed to pick the opponent. And yes if you were in the Packers position which team would you pick? A 4-13 nonconference opponent? Sounds good to me.....
It's a pre-determined schedule formula but still a good question. That's two years in a row when the AFC East and AFC West each only play one opponent from the respective division determined by the prior year's final standings. Why both years home field was given to the West I couldn't answer. I do know that next season the Jets will be in Denver again as the regular AFC West rotation comes into play. The Jets will be playing in Denver and Las Vegas and will host KC and the Chargers.....in 2020 it was reverse. That's how the rotation happens to work out for 2023...... The same formula put Buffalo in KC these last few years.....
I heard that was a broken play ... Breece was supposed to flip the ball to Garret Wilson who was to pass it to Berrios. It wasn't there so Breece said "fuck this" and took it to the house. Mike LaFleur's epic play design sparks Hall's 34-yard TD
