Once Fant and Mitchell return in November, I think we become a dangerous opponent with the run game we have in place. You might want to think to bring up Mims as an additional blocking WR to open up PA now.
So your hypothesis is that we have guys on the board who acted like Jets fans thru years of losing. Kind of like the guy in Fight Club who goes to the testicular cancer weekly group although he's fine. But instead its a guy who pretends to be a jets fan for years and now that the misery is over he's pissed.
I had to take a break from this place during the Bengals week… did I miss the departure of TGG’s favorite troll/darksider? I don’t think I have to name names but have I mentioned I loved Browning Nagle as a young Jets fan?
i think the point on so many other threads was that pressures, while they matter, are not nearly as good as sacks. Yesterday we got 4 sacks and you can see the impact. We held GB to 10 points. As another supporting point, there were a few pressures where Rodgers evaded them and made throws downfield…so in those cases the pressure did not lead to a negative play. regardless, I think most of us here understand that pressures are good, and that if you keep getting strong pressure, the QB will not perform as well, and the hope is that those pressures start turning into sacks. yesterday was a dominant performance from our DL…you can see that’s the defense that Saleh wants to run…when it works it looks good like yesterday…
For some Reason people think this franchise has been so bad but th reality is they started peaking more in the 90s then hit its peak in the 2000s and had to rebuild from the ground up after a Rams attempt for a SB. People cant let go of the time before that and recently which we all saw coming and knew itd be painful. Im not suprised at howntheyre flourishing now. They built for this with Douglas.
He would. In fact he'd be so keen to block it he'd line up a little too close to it and run towards it just before the ball was snapped.
I agree with you both--I think he's ready for a game but absent an injury, not sure how he gets in there.
I ran into LeSean McCoy this afternoon... I was wearing a Jets cap. He gave me a "J-E-T-S" shout-out and said "nice game"... Just a little story...
I would say your last sentence is a massive exaggeration of the facts . Under that criteria every freaking team I watched including Buffalo, the Giants, SD, Miami and KC for starters has looked horrendous at one point or another. Of course at one point or another does not mean squat. Is how you end the game. So there is that.
I said they were not executing for the talent they had and they weren't at the time... the coaches "reciepts comment" has galvanised this team. He knew what we didn't and I have o admit I thought he was over his head but the team has responded and yesterday was, IMHO, the 1st time in a few years that this team played all three phases of the game well. HC is managing expecations outside and inside the LR so Kudos to him...and CS. Oh, DC doesn't look lost anymore does he... dam.
So your argument for me saying the JETS played bad at 1 point in all their games means... Every team you named has looked bad too...and that's not possible..lol ok I know what I see. I rewatch games.... I can tell you, the JETS have looked HORRENDOUS at one point in EVERY GAME this season. and yes, they can both be true...Imagine that!
Could be true. Chiefs, Chargers, and Cowboys are no joke. Let's see how where we are at the bye before we get too far ahead of ourselves.
The team has been playing well lately but the "Receipts" comment was foolish. It made Saleh look weak.
