He's always been dumb as rocks. Was a good player and we needed receivers at the time.. but still wasn't that bummed he left in FA
Panthers coach Steve Wilks kicks Robbie Anderson out of game https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...ach-steve-wilks-kicks-wr-robbie-anderson-game
I respect JD for saying “I misjudged the market” instead of “You don’t give a mediocre WR a big contract in the tear down phase of a rebuild”
And when you scroll down after reading the Anderson report the next thing you get to is Rodgers talking about needing more weapons and to simplify Green Bay's decimated offense. It would only cost them $575K to sign Anderson because Carolina would owe the other $20 million on his contract. If I'm the Packers I'm taking the chance it could work.
JD's comment was not that he didn't give Robbie a big contract. His comment was about not realizing that there were no big offers waiting out there for Robbie. The Jets would have had a very different negotiating posture if they knew that Robbie was likely to come back to them after trying to get a big contract elsewhere and failing. By the time it was clear that nobody was giving Robbie a big contract the Jets (and Robbie) had burnt all the bridges that would have let him make a face-saving return.
He's a solid NFL wr. Mayfield and darnold are hot garbage. Aholebcoach tryna show he tough. Laughable crap.
I read it as Rodgers saying they need more “smart” WRs who can run complicated routes… Robbie isn’t that guy, he fits in with a QB who doesn’t study and just wings it.
Zona is in better shape than Carolina. Win for Robbo. It'll be ineteresting how they try tro deploy him in that Klingsbury O.
Deploy? Lol. I’m pretty sure their going to deploy him with the only thing he can do “Robbie, run fast”
