The Daily Beast’s Confider reported on Monday evening that Carlson is “shitting himself” over the prospect of his texts with Jones leaking, according to “a source close to the Fox News star.”

“Carlson and the raving Infowars ranter trade text messages on a daily basis, according to two people familiar with their relationship,” Confider noted. “If made public, these sources said, the text messages would be ‘highly embarrassing’ for Carlson.”

Is it possible to embarrass Tucker Carlson?

He does it every night on television.

The problem here is Texas Law caps punitive damages at 750k plus 4 times economic damages which there were none. Which would limit punitive damages to 750k. But there is an argument that the plaintiff can raise in the bankruptcy court as the BK judge can ignore the Texas caps. That would be quite ironic if Jones' screws himself with the BK filing.

Yes ..this is America ....Land of all all the evil, deranged conspiracy Theorists . Jones will reap the punishment for all the evil he sowed vs. those poor parents with PTSD

And no sympathy for that closet Fascist Tucker...he should run and live in Hungary with the boss man there Victor

On a very positive note for Fox , it looks like hosts Steve Ducey and beautiful Laura Ingraham are giving up the Trump homering from what I saw on CNn or MSNBC the other day

There are exclusions in the cap law which may be applied by an appellate court in deciding if the jury's award should be upheld or reduced to the parameters of the law you site limiting exemplary payments which was enacted in the 1990s largely to control personal injury lawsuit judgement windfalls.

Alex Jones is the type of guy that dies of syphilis in Thailand in exile. Real men eat syphilis for breakfast.

Not ever having to hear him say global governance like he has all the fat from 24oz porterhouse in his mouth again is a plus for everyone.

I haven't really followed this at all because I don't care to waste much energy or time into it, but I am curious about one thing.

Why is the fine such an insane number? It's not a realistic number that can ever be paid and the families likely won't ever see 0.25% of this money.

Is Alex Jones just going to be writing checks every month for the rest of his life while being able to live his own life? Not that I hope the guy has a good life after some of the shit he has done, I don't really give a shit.

I thought the same thing and he can rot in prison but we’re talking about over a billion over words that cause no physical harm via other individuals to the people’s families.

They’d have a better chance at collecting if they made it $100 million or something like that.

I'm not sure what the right amount of financial penalty in this case is. However, my impression is that sometimes astronomical financial penalties are imposed by courts in an attempt to emphasize the gravity of the injuries inflicted and to discourage such vicious behaviors by anybody in the future.

As a retired mental health professional, I think it's important to point out that the general public often underestimates the significance of mental anguish in comparison to physical pain. For example, veterans with PTSD often point out that the pain from their physical injuries is nothing compared to the mental pain they experience.
