Dolphins has 3rd string QB and LT out. We had our starting LT, C, RG, and LG in the game. It's not makeshift. Stop with these absurd claims. We're only down a RT (Becton/Fant/Mitchell) based on the plans going into the season. It's one position deep with injuries. We haven't lost our entire O-Line. JD has done a great job a making sure certain key players he signed and drafted allow for versatility. Good team and coaches can get through this. JD set Saleh & Co up for success here. Pickett and Skylar was their 1st games too. Didn't they have rust, so your cancel argument is bogus. We haven't beat any good team. That's a fact! Packers will be the first test. Calm down, just accept we beat two teams with rookie QBs who weren't even starting the season and never played a NFL snap until they played us. Bro, and Bills could have put up 60 against the Steelers if they really wanted to.
Without a doubt, that may be the biggest need our team will have in the offseason aside from LT if Becton still isn't healthy, and neither Brown nor Fant will be back. I don't expect to see a big change in our run defense this season. Kwon has helped that, but I think part of the problem is the scheme. It's too aggressive and so other teams design run plays to take advantage of that over aggressiveness. The other part is that we don't have a true run-stuffing DT.
That is until we lose again, then it will be the offensive lines fault, and Douglas sucks etc, just wait for it
Start of the season was slated to be Becton at RT, Fant at LT, AVT at guard, Brown was brought in to take over LT but injured before the season. None of the first 3 were at their position. Brown was just off IR playing with a few days practice, AVT was at RT for the first time and the players had maybe 3 days of practice together. But sure, no injuries to see here. So when you posted this less than a week ago, who needs to get healthy if we were only down our starting RT?
I thought it would take longer for this team to gel and for the rookies to develop. The team is starting to play...like a team and the sky is the limit for this group. Of course, there will be disappointments, especially with so much youth and inexperience, but the liftoff has begun.
Are we really rolling into a fourth page of discussing the sensitivity of a bunch of football fans over positive or negative fucking reactions on an online forum?
I don't know if you're being serious Brook! lol. As some have mentioned already Rodgers looks a bit off without Adams. So I'm not overly worried about him and the offense being able to move the ball up and down as he's done for the past couples season during his MVP years. He's still great and all, and I think the WR unit is slowly coming together, but this team is very beatable. Even for the Jets. I also don't think the Lambeau effect will bother the Jets especially with the weather being still some what cool and nice. I would have been more concerned in snowy conditions for sure. The spread from my last check was at (-7) for the Pack which is very tempting.
Hell man, this game is a GREAT opportunity for our team plain and simple. If we lose it's great experience for our rooks and QB. I'm almost afraid of what winning it will due to our egos. But I am sure willing to find out Playing the Packers at Lambeau is a big deal for anyone with a football pulse. It's the best test we could ask for.
they avg 19 pts a game... ???? i suppose it COULD happen... but nothing they have done indicaytes its probablility is high
yes. an opportunity. you mean FAN egos? or the players? if we manage a W, i will just think.. wow, what fun... the project is moving forward faster that i'd imagined... and then watch all the analysis vids on you tube
