On Sunday we are playing at Lambeau against a QB who was the MVP of the league in back to back years. We have great players but we still haven't arrived. Losing the game is expected and even if we lose, we will still be 3-3 and season will still be alive. I love the optimism in Jets message boards and twitter but I would hate to see doom and gloom if we were to lose this Sunday. Now about our own board TGG... We have darksiders, we have sunshiners but we are ALL diehard Jet fans. Please no fights, no name calling no personal attacks. Let's enjoy the game together and if we win let's go crazy but if we lose, let's forget about it and move on. Cheers!
We are 7.5 point underdogs for a reason. Anyone expecting us to march into GB and win is a fool. Can we win? Sure, but expecting a win? No.
I expect us to win. I have Rodgers on my fantasy team and he isn’t the same MVP player still or maybe yet idk which one. But I know right now he is vulnerable and doesn’t trust his WRs. If our D plays anywhere close to Sunday we will win! Stop the run and let our pass rush and secondary put it in that work LFG!!!
My thought is 3-6 at the break is a great start and better than anyone could have hoped. 4-5 would be amazing. No matter what happens Sunday it has been a great start to the year. All I hope for is no injuries, that we play a competitive game and win by 42+ points. Nothing unreasonable there. But, seriously playing a competitive game with a chance to win in the 4th quarter against a motivated desperate team in Green Bay would be a great day. I never thought this years measure of success would be wins/losses just the development of our young players. A win against GB and I might have to change that measure. I am not expecting a win but I am really excited to see how we play. we have a history of winning big games against Green Bay going back to the last game of 1981 season when we destroyed them to earn a playoff birth and end our longest playoff drought. Let's do it again on Sunday.
OK Brook. We know your job is to poke the bear but please... I realize that flying during the game will f up my ability to view the game or get updates. I will monitor this site to stay informed if possible. We must always be ready, as we always have been ready, to take the rough with the smooth...Keep Buggering on! WBC
Sounds like a plan. I believe Jet fans hope for a win every week. Hoping and expecting of course are miles apart. If we win it will be an upset at this juncture. But there is always hope. I’m quite sure this board will be divided no matter the outcome. But if we win, most will go crazy happy, some even overboard with SB expectations, some will take it in stride and remain cautious till they see more, and some will come up with never ending excuses as to why we should have lost and expect the future to remain bleak. I just want a fun, competitive game. I’ll be happy if we fight to the end. And yes, I will go nuts if we win, and move on if we lose.
You've got me convinced @Brook! I'm betting the farm on a Jets win! Question now is do I parley it with the 45 over....
I'm going out on a limb and predicting that the Jets will be 6-3 or at worst, 5-4 at the break. I think they will definitely beat Denver and NE. I hope they are competitive vs Buffalo but don't expect a win against them. I do think the Packers are particularly vulnerable. If the Giants can do what they did to them last week, then I know the Jets can. The question is will they.
