There is finally some hope in the Jet's world. Enjoy the moment and don't forget those receipts LOL.

May the football Gods finally remove the curse on the Jets. They don't have to win a Super Bowl. But let's give them a winning team for once. Also, God, can we stop the stupid Broadway Joe Medicare Advantage TV commercials that mislead our seniors? This is not the way I want to remember Broadway Joe.

It's funny you mention that... aside from being a fan of Joe Willie as QB, I've always liked him as he was an honest straight-shooter. I'd bet he doesn't have a clue what he's selling, & it's just about the big bucks he's getting. But I, too, have been disappointed seeing him doing that crap.

You may need a mediator to renegotiate that schedule

Yeah, I know what you mean, especially after all the money he made playing football for so long. I mean what was his giant rookie contract? The one that brought about the merger of the leagues and made the NFL the goldmine it is for owners today, something like $400,000?

I agree with you, and oddly, it seems that their is a paucity of elite quarterback play, with a few exceptions, that is driving this. There are several superstar quarterbacks who are off to just middling starts and their team's records reflect that.

Ho-hum... hopefully, this thread will stay-alive for the next few decades:cool:
    Firstly, thank you, JD!
I'm really impressed how the Jets were able to beat the officials today. Even the Fox announcers, were puzzled by a bunch of calls.
I think people are being too hard on Zach. I'm still not sold on him, but LeFleur's gameplans & playcalling, especially in the 1st-half of games, doesn't jibe with Zach's current skillset, nor that in reality, Zach's still a rook.
Lafleur needs to up the tempo in the first quarter... specifically, going no-huddle to start a game, & when the O is in the doldrums. Aside from some trick plays, LaFleur plays it too safe.
That said, 'twas great to see both TEs being involved in the 2nd-half. I remember during the draft, when I saw Breece still on the board, screaming for them to move up & take him. Then they did it, & wow, how quickly he's becoming a star.
As for the D, last week it was Lawson & Kwon stepping up. Today, QW & Rankins had games. That's really cool that the D has enough players, that different players make their marks every week. While the middle of the field is still a question, the D is really coming around.
And lastly, aside from the blocked punt, the STs have been playing great. I can't remember the Jets blocking a FG, & punt in the same game.
All-in-all... ho-hum, the Jets won again!!
    Enjoy!

    Ho-hum...
At no point in this game, did I feel the Jets would win. But they did. How un-Jetslike. Things certainly have changed in Jetslandistan. Kudos to the D, for keeping the game close, & kudos to JD for giving some depth to overcome some serious adversity. No Kudos to MLF. Aside from a few gadget plays/game, he still has no gameplan, & seems clueless how to utilize the playmakers he has. Yes, the OL seemed to take a step back today, & Zach looked overmatched, but MLF just has no answers to help Zach, or the O get into any rhythm. Was disappointed they didn't target Mims a bit more, as I'd really like to see if he has any worth.
But they won, & again didn't turn over the ball... however, they'll need to do better next week.
Sad about Breece, hopefully, it won't be a tear. But they won... again, even though Breece's injury makes it feel less worthy of celebration.
Lastly, I got a bit pissed at Saleh... when Mims was seemingly injured, he was laughing it up with officials.
    Not a good look.

Kudos to the defense for holding them scoreless in the second half.

That and the Breece TD were the only highlights... for me at least.

It was a strange game... for me the highlight was winning. I just wasn't feeling it yesterday.
And after the game, because of Breece's injury, I had to keep reminding myself they won.
I'll tell ya, I hope my instincts are correct, as it didn't look like a tear. When he walked to the cart, he was walking gingerly, but he wasn't grimacing, We'll know soon. Fingers, toes, arms, legs, hair, etc... everything crossed today...
