There is nothing better than squishing the fish. I thought maybe things would change when Shula passed, but nope, still the best feeling on earth!
I’ve said it on draft weekend and throughout the entire season. This last draft was a straight up home run. Sauce and Hall were real high on my list. Can you finally fault JD on the 2020 draft, Gase support, tearing down the team, any FA period, or on anything at all?
I thought we could win, but not like this. Always fun to beat the Dolphins and finally get a division win after not getting any the previous two years.
No, what is there to fault? For about the millionth time, he had no power to sack Gase, tearing down the team was required, the 2020 draft was done for Gase who was bound to have a huge hand in it, he could do better in FA but his trading makes up for that, no?
No doubt Teddy going down helped the jets, but we put a 40 spot on them. Was he good enough to over take that? The Jets matchup against the dolphins will, said that during the week. I think I just need to mentally accept we are going to get run on most weeks.
I did NOT see us laying a 40 burger on the Dolphins. The 3rd quarter was very much nip and tuck. The 4th quarter however changed everything. The rookies were BIG in this game. Gardner is SOFT and someone needs to work him on tackling. Breece Hall will likely win offensive rookie of the week. But honestly like I've said so many times the JETS are notorious slow starters and they don't win the turnover battle. Well, now 3 wins into the season, in all 3 wins the Jets started FAST and they won the turnover battle. Great win by an upstart team.....
And, for all the shit he has got here and elsewhere, probs to Ulbrich for that call and what a tackle by Sauce. Just a perfect example of how to tackle the QB.
No mistake that this was an ugly game for us where we kept Miami in the game for 3 quarters. But I will take ugly wins over pretty losses anytime. Go Jets 3-2. Who would have believed it? Beating a really upset and pissed off GB team is possible but we got to play a whole lot better. But, we beat GB and the world is ours.
Jets defense was solid. Take away 2 of 3 questionable pass interference calls, they probably would have held Miami to under 225 total yards and maybe to single digits. Offense was good and can be better!
Packers are very beatable at this point. I'll go out on a limb and predict we are 6-2 when we face the Patriots.
Record is 6 against the P*ts back in '68 but only 3 different ball carriers They had 5 rush TDs in '93, also against the P*ts, and 4 different ball carriers
We could be 5-2 when we face the Patriots for the first time. However @Packers and @Broncos makes it more likely we are 3-4. Both teams have flaws but they also have very good QB's and we have lost both games where we faced the opponent's starting QB. I'm with you in spirit but under-promise and over-deliver rules the world.
