Studs: Z. Wilson - even with the mistakes came up BIG when it counted Corey Davis - some nice catches in traffic Breece Hall - had some nice runs, seemed to get into a nice flow D Line - finally some sacks and good pressure (minus the big dud of Lawson's stupid penalty) Duds: White jerseys with black pants - freaking horrible, please don't do this again! lol
but considering they only gave up 1 sack to the blitz happy Steelers, & played a solid second half. In crunch time they gave ZW time to throw. I would say they don't deserve a Dud rating when you look at the whole game..
mosley wasn't a dud. he just wasn't good. if he was making 4 mil a year nobody would bat an eye. mcdermott is only on the field due to 5 injuries at 1 position. he has no business doing anything but practicing to give the better players a break we all know this already. he just isn't talented enough to play a full game and not be awful. To me duds are people who played worse then you expect and studs are those who excelled. mosley and mcdermott gave me what was expected
Dud -Lanken Tomlinson. For a pro bowl guard, he actually looked like the worst OL. Really not impressed with him.
That is 100% spot on. Even the announcers pointed that out. Aggressive by Wilson yes. But Wilson rightfully did not anticipate the CB to drift off based on the rout been all out with a mad dash to the pylon. Smith run a horrible rout. I still can’t figure all the love for Smith versus Mims by MLF.
It was not a great pass. On the other hand, this is a guy who doesn't throw for a living, and in a pressure situation he was throwing on the run. Just getting the ball somewhere near Zach in those circumstances was a stud move, even if it was far from a great pass.
yeah thats fair, I had high hopes for him. wanted him really badly in the offseason. he's never missed a game in the past 5 years. multiple pro bowls. same system. seemed like a perfect match, but he's been bad for us this year and IDK why
He may have caught Muhammad Wilkersonitis. Albert Haynesworth died from it. There's no cure and no-one ever gets better.
I’m not trying to make excuses for the guy but he has yet to play more than two games in a row with the same left tackle. He’s barely played one full game with the same left tackle. He’s been bad but I can’t close the book on any of these offensive lineman until there isn’t a revolving door on each end.
He was playing next to the best LT in the league at SF. It seems Tomlinson got more credit than he deserved.
Studs - AVT, Joyner, Hall, Wilson and Wilson, Davis, Q, Sauce, Reed Great effort - CS, Lawson, JJ Special teams, Whitehead and overall team grit and fight Duds - Tomlinson, Smith, unnecessary game changing personal foul penalties
Mosely is a starter at the position... and he should perform to that level. When he doesn't it hurts the team. Your expectations & bias doesn't change that. Same goes for McDermott. The guy's a 6 year pro... he shouldn't be making mental errors.
Zach is a stud and dud this week... Especially w/that INT before the half. The stud was the 2 drives...he lit it up. Honorary Mention to Corey who has gotten plenty of DESERVED shit but those routes he has been running have been a thing of beauty
