Sorry, folks, but if this series (even if the Mets manage to come back and win this game) doesn't absolutely terrify every Mets fan with respect to the postseason, they're just not paying attention. The most important thing by far for the Mets in the postseason was always that they would get superior starting pitching, and that seems to have gone right down the toilet. Now throw in having to use Walker or Carrasco as a fourth starter, and you're looking at a team that won't get out of the first round, wild card or not.
Only good part about this game is that it is not the postseason. And our 1-3 is usually money. It sucks we are down now and losing the division but not all is lost
What a ridiculous performance. It's not just that they lost, it's how meekly they've gone down. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't even win 100 games. Newsday was talking today about how Showalter is clearly the NL Manager of the Year. I don't think it's clear that he should even be brought back next season.
I’d never have guessed I’d be more excited for for the Jets than the Mets at this point of the seasons.
I’m not playing any starter the next 3 days. Time to focus on the padres or Phillies. They’re only 1 game back. Idk who has the tie breaker
The Mets have been worrisome since after the Dodgers series. I don't see how anyone can have any confidence in them.
