An amazing season. For 95 percent of us there's a chance this will be the greatest offensive season we see from a Yankee. Only a handle or 2 seasons better ever.

The analytics nerds are gonna find a reason why you don’t sign 30 year old outfielders that big to ten year contracts. So sign him for five at 40 per.

He isn’t going to take that. The Yankees were already fine with 7 or 8 (we saw that with their first offer). Now they bump the AAV to 40-45 and he may stay, but what happens when Uncle Stevie or SF come in and offer him 10 @ the same AAV? He’s gone if someone else comes with more years.

More years and the same AAV and obviously you are right and good for him if so. Although I could see him taking a bit of a haircut to stay with the Yankees, especially if they win it all this year. But not a big one.

I haven’t paid attention to large contracts that other teams do, but do other teams give out asinine decade long contracts like the Yankees do? I definitely want them to retain judge, I can’t see them letting him go (although any contract he gets will based on a year that would be impossible to repeat).

There are 12 players with 10+ year contracts right now. None of which have been signed by anyone older than 29 years old. Votto was 28 who is the oldest.

    Fernando Tatis Jr (14/340)
    Brycer Harper (13/330)
    Stanton (13/325)
    Trout (12/426.5)
    Betts (12/365)
    Julio Rodriguez (12/209.3)
    Wander Franco (11/182)
    Lindor (10/341)
    Corey Seager (10/325)
    Machado (10/300)
    Votto (10/225)
    Austin Riley (10/212)

This is an interesting take from a Mets fan/admitted Yankee hater According to your previous posts you think it would be stupid to sign Judge to a long term contract as you prefer Soto, yet you add "Uncle Stevie" into the mix!

At this point I have prioritized what I want out of the Yankees for the rest of the season:

    1. Win the division (done)
    2. Judge breaks the AL home run record.
    3. Get healthy for the post season.
    4. Win a championship

I'll worry about Judge when those 4 (3) have been addressed.

For the record, I am rooting for a Subway series. The last one was extremely enjoyable on so many levels.

He’s 2:1 favorite to sign with the Mets. Higher than any team not named YanKees. Why would I not add it?

Personally I don't see any way how he would sign with the Mets. I think that's the one team the Yankees would absolutely make sure he doesn't sign with. I'd also like to think that Judge has some sort of conscious. That would be the ultimate stab in the back to the fans that adore him.

P.S. the odds to resign with the Yanks are 1:5.

For sure, i don’t disagree with anything you said. I think it would be an absolute slap in the face to everyone in the Bronx and Yankees fans everywhere. He’s the face of the franchise and an absolute class act of a player. If he leaves, they’re screwed. They have nothing left except Cole and the hope that Volpe (spelling?) becomes what Jeter was and what Judge is currently.

He really does. His ERA is almost a run lower than Cole's. And he's far less likely to implode than Cole is.

Mild bush league the Twins have decided to sit Arreaz most of their games after he took the BA lead with a "hamstring injury."

Don't see many guys go 2-4 then have to sit with a "hamstring injury."

Usually you see a guy sit a game or two of it's tight. He may sit 8 of their last 10 if he doesn't play again.

    Congrats Judge!

Arraez finally in the lineup, let's see an 0-4 from him and a 3-4 day from Judge
