Early rumors about what the kids who got the 60th homerun received are a few bats, balls, + autographs. That ball is worth $500k. What the F are they doing? Life changing money for a 20 year old kid. How do you not at the minimum get playoff tickets + season tickets for next year? Unbelievable.
LOL. Don’t get me wrong, I love watching greatness and I kept flipping back to YES every time Judge came up to bat, but 60 is eh to me as a non Yankee fan. 62 will get me way more excited, but Bonds is still the HR king IMO. Also FWIW, baseball cannot be happy that he has an actual chance to break this record while the game is airing Friday on AppleTV. What a disaster.
Judge already acknowledged that the record is 73. At this point he should be able to break the AL single season record though. And he will definitely be the leader for "clean" home runs, not that it's a real stat Everyone who hit more than 61 was on the juice.
@JackBower - Gleyber has been pretty damn good over the past month. My predictions aren’t that off either. You still prefer Whit Merrifield?
I always thought you had your best hr hitter batting cleanup. And the next best 2 power hitters at 5 and 6. What’s the thinking having judge lead off?
That’s what I was thinking, although I would put a championship above the chase in importance. Hopefully they shuffle for the playoffs.
And the Yankees are the AL East champions. Seemed like a forgone conclusion in July but they had to sweat it out. Time to rest up for the playoffs.
Way to go judge! That’s gotta be one hell of a relief for him, could see it on his face the last few games.
