...(from PFT) I know some may disagree, but if CD is questionable, I'd like to see Saleh activate Mims. It's a new season, so let us see if Mims has any future value to the team, now that he's healthy. Give him a chance to sink or swim!
Strange. Some unconfirmed rumors popped up yesterday that Davis was being discussed as part of a trade. Are they just keeping him out for something? I wonder if is BS or there is something there.
Wouldn't be surprised if Jets traded him but which team will give Jets an acceptable pick for him considering his salary?
I heard something a couple weeks ago about CD too. So I just googled it to refresh my memory. It was a Chimini prediction then and it is now too so take that with a grain of salt. I honestly wouldn’t trade him for less than a 1st or Mims for less than a conditional 2nd. *I think the CS would sooner go with Cager than Mims
I saw Cimini spreading that last week. I doubt they'd trade him, before they kicked the tires on Mims a bit. If they'd give Mims a few opportunities, & he shows flashes, then it would make a trade for either of them more plausible.
Don't think they need to see Mims. I think CD is gone before never year no matter what so if they can get a decent return I say go for it
It's especially funny because our asking price for Mims recently was a 4th round pick and no team wanted to give that much for him. https://heavy.com/sports/minnesota-vikings/new-york-jets-denzel-mims-trade/ It's also not exactly very common to trade guys for picks in the same round they were originally drafted in when they're several years older, a lot more expensive or soon to be more expensive, and with more evidence of play that shows they were probably drafted too early anyway.
Huh? Not understanding this. He’s actually producing, the Jets have DEPTH now suddenly he’s on the block? I just think someone is jumping the gun trying to get out on a potential trade. I just think he’s legit hurt right now. No way the Jets will trade Corey.
Wouldn't read into this one too much. Seems like he's fine but we should know a little more today after practice.
The report about Davis was an nfc team was keeping tabs on him. I’d say the speculation is if Jets are out by the deadline they could be looking to sell and add some picks while evaluating some young talent. I wouldn’t call it very newsworthy as every team has a list of players they are monitoring with the same ideas.
Trading him is fine, but go get an OL'man, LB or CB who can play now. Picks do nothing for us this season. Just my humble opinion.
They are not going to trade him unless it’s a list season. Further, a team that trades for him will be a team with deep playoff hopes and will not be looking to get rid of any viable players.
