What sarcasm? Tired of first time Head Coaches and picking the wrong QB high in the draft. For once let’s go with an experienced HC and a vet QB where it’s possible to make the playoffs. I still have hope about Wilson. But if he doesn’t show signs of significant progress, I rather keep Joe D and change HC and QB like I proposed above. Where is the sarcasm?
No. 1...there is no way Payton will come here No.2...I think a more mobile QB would've helped us yesterday. I dont know if is Zach.
Everybody else understood from the post headling what you meant, it took somebody until page 4 to make something out of it, makes them an arse in my book but then again when you see the same name all day long whining, it just gets on your thrupnies
Okay. I understand now. Thanks for the explanation. Everybody is a little upset and some of us are beyond upset. Let's not make big deal out of anything.
He had his left tackle and top 3 running backs going on while they played musical chairs at guard/tackle to fix it while he was banged up himself. He did step back, but it’s hard not to love most things the kid has done so far.
i mean it sounds good in theory but peyton had a stacked team. HOF QB, weak division, and still only won 1 SB in 15 years and it was the only one he made.
They’re going to tag him, it would be 250m to him plus a record setting draft pick package to the ravens. Not sure he’s worth that
game 18 and we're shitcanning the coach and the QB pick... patience in short supply... with good reason
He has evolved over the years into more of a pocket passer which is what you want. I hate to give him kudos but that last TD pass was a thing of beauty. Effortless motion, 60 yards, and very little air under it. I'd give him 300M to play here. Can you imagine if he was our QB with the weapons we have?
The QB is just a symptom of the real problems facing the Jets. Going and getting Jackson at great expense wouldn't accomplish a lot because the main systemic problems would still exist. The GM came in 3 years ago saying that fixing the OL was a major priority and today the Jet's OL just sucks. Lamar Jackson would have just as much trouble playing behind that line as anybody else and until it is fixed no QB is going to play up to their full potential here. It's just a question of what the baseline is and then how far below that crappy offensive line play drives them.
Can we really sit here and say he hasn’t tried to fix the O line lol. Yes it still sucks but he invested money and draft capital along the line, just looks like the wrong guys were picked. Maybe we will know more later on. But might have to invest even more sadly
Yeah but if you had a QB then you don't have to waste top draft picks on the position like they've been doing. Imagine if they had a decent QB 4 years ago; instead of Darnold you have pro bowler Quenten Nelson at Guard, in 2021 instead of Wilson you have pro bowler Rashawn Slater at Tackle. Sign Jackson and use draft picks to build a wall. (much better than drafting QB prospects, signing flawed lineman, and praying it works... it hasn't)
Enjoy Lamar Jackson expensive IR resident if we acquire him to play behind this line. Build the team and everything else will follow. Do a flashy thing and it'll be just like looking into the flashy thing.
He has no clue how to build an offensive line. He keeps signing over-priced over-prime vets to fill holes, which is like bailing around a sand castle on the beach - the tide is going to get you every time and twice on Sundays.
