Why give us fans hope? but but he doesn't know the playbook. I much rather have a boring old QB with zero chance to win. its the jets way.
If anyone seriously thought we had a chance to win today please give me some of what you're smoking. this offense is so boring and predictable ... run run play action. play action run run. over and over and over again oh and how can I forget the weekly interceptions. still shocked there was no pick six.
I've been watching this team for so long I don't even know what a competent fun offense looks or feels like. I feel like we won the super bowl every time we get a first down. and please WTFK is up with our players !?!?! they act like they won the super bowl after every time they make a damn play um hello this is what you're paid to do and please don't celebrate until you actually win a fu**ing game !!!
The last time this team had a competent offense was with Favre before he got hurt the last 3 games of the year. Its sad that its been that long.
If they want to win, they need to put a draft worth of OL to FIX this OL issue. I might perhaps look into a trade for a T or G as we need help BAD.
Everyone keeps mentioning the OLine woes which is exactly why a switch needs to be made. Skinny Joe is a freaking statue back there. Need some one who can break the pocket when it breaks down and make positive gains.
We have a guy like that his name is Zach Wilson. In case you have noticed he is hurt. Flacco is our Backup.
The only reason I can see keeping him back there is to make the "old guy" be the sacrificial tackling dummy until the O-line mess semi-figures shit out.... I hope.
Jets fans are so brainwashed (myself included) sorry but we have never ever had a fun offense aka the pats (brady years) KC - Saints - Bengals - Chargers - Rams, etc etc. our "fun" offense is a barely get a first down and score a bomb TD once a freaking season. and sorry guys but Zach is not the answer.
Okay maybe 1998 with Vinny, and true the one year with FitzMagic man how effing sad is that. with this sad franchise its always the outlier and never consistent.
This thread is silly IMO. The FACT is this loss started with the OL. If the OL had dine their jobs Flacco would not have looked so bad. I'm not condoning Flaccos numerous unforced errors but the OL simply did not give him enough time to do his job.
Well they’re not going to suddenly be that much better so you need to adapt and try something different…especially with Clowney and Garrett looming for Cleveland Streveler needs to get the nod this week but there’s almost zero chance of that happening. If you’re sticking with Joe, we need to run a lot more, use screens, mid-direction, a few trick plays, and some quick deep shots to keep them honest. I doubt any of this actually happens and we likely get smashed again
The Browns defense is better than the Ravens. I know who I am picking in my survivor pool unfortunately.
He’s on the practice squad. Doesn’t really matter though, the Jets are going to stay the course right into a bunch of Clowney and Garrett sacks
Not to defend Flacco, but not sure if he's washed up. He might be effective behind an established O-line and offensive weapons, neither of which the Jets have. Nevertheless, you are correct, he's not a match for this team. As for throwing 60 times, that's what you have to do when you fall behind in a game. Very hard to come from behind running the ball. This is what happens when you can't generate enough offense to put points on the board early. Josh Johnson would have been a better choice for backup. He's experienced, is mobile, has a good arm and can throw on the run. Of course, the Jets being the Jets let him walk.
