As we inch closer to this game, the worse I feel about us competing. If the OL can't protect Slow Joe, we're fubar.
The Ravens defense was pretty lousy last year. If we can't score points and subsequently get blown out... then we have a bigger problem than left tackle.
Everyone go long--that's my game plan. NYJ plan--dink and dunk cause they're petrified of getting Flacco knocked out.
Normally we have to wait until the first week of October to declare the season over with there being optimism and excitement on opening day. After such an amazing free agency and draft I am shocked how and things look right now. I believe it all started going downhill with the schedule release and the bad news has not stopped since. We have not even played one game and it already feels like the 1st week of October. Hell, it might even be Thanksgiving by now. I want to be optimistic I really do, but man being a Jet fan sucks. I watched that Buffalo game last night thinking why can't we have nice things too. I can't recall us having an offense that scored at will since the mid 80's. We deserve a few breaks. Maybe Flaaco can become Testaverde for a few weeks and surprise us.
Let me try. Anyone than refuses to criticize a crappy GM is blind or worst, ignorant. Horrible moves. He should have known all alone and double up for injuries. Big, overweight, is inconceivable he let it go that long. If that is not bad enough, not resigning our QB to a contract for whatever he wants, fully guaranteed for a guy than is second to none and the king of post season play is an epic mistake. Oh wait, wrong GM. My bad.
Im being truthful here. Not sure what most of this meant........there are like three separate people talking over each other here. Sorry.
A little sarcasm as to the constant criticism by some towards JD every single time someone gets injured. As if It only happens to us.
A coupe weeks ago I sunnysided a win for us. With the questions about o-line health and depth, its getting hard to stand by that. I'm still hopeful but its just that. Hope, not confidence. What can I say, I want an exciting season. I know it feels like the inevitable nut kick is coming and we're all bracing for it. Hard to fault anyone for doing that. Yet we were so optimistic a few months ago. Why does the draft always have to be our frigging superbowl? That said, we do got a lot of exciting things to check out on Sunday. 4 top 35 picks, plus an early read on Max Mitchell. It will be fun starting to learn what we got in these guys, and one bad game wont be the end of the world or season. I'm pretty pumped up for opening day and still optimistic for the season. And the word from la la land is, were at home, lets beat them rat birds. If not we'll get the Brownies and start 1 and 1. Go Jets!
Nice to see you positive even with the dose of reality thrown in, all we can do is hope, sometimes that is what being a fan is all about, if we get 6 wins I think we will have done well, more importantly is Wilson needing to take a step in the right direction and then we can really hope for 23/24 season lol
Hope you can make it to 15J Brook! Txt me buddy on arrival. To those who attend, join our DEFENSE on the field during 3rd down and ROAR!!! 12TH MAN BABY!!!
I'm going but I wish I weren't. I already set a deficit number that triggers an early departure. I hate the drive but my son begged me to go.
