I'll grant the last 10 years if we're talking specifically about young talent. But the mid 2000s youth that led to the AFC championship seasons in all likelihood blows this roster away.
Zach went through a workout today, has been 3.5 weeks since his injury. Coach said threw some as well, but sounds like he is still ramping up. I expect on Wednesday Saleh will announce Flacco as official starter for the Ravens, but depending how this week goes, Zach may be ready for week 2. Definitely week 3 looks like, but week 2 is a strong possibility. I don't see how he can be named a starter for Sunday, given he missed so much time and just went through first workout.
They’ll be cautious…I’m guessing it’ll be Flacco week one for sure, likely Flacco week 2 also unless Zach crushes practice next week, and then Zach back for week 3
Last year Zach did two weeks of practice before returning. But, I guess we will see how he responds tomorrow and Wednesday. I would be surprised if he plays in week one.
My guess is Flacco will start Week 1, and Wilson will be ready for Week 2, but if Flacco somehow leads the Jets to a win, Flacco will start Week 2.
If Zach does full work-outs on Weds. Thurs. & Fri..... he'll probably be back week 2. But he could start if he can show it on the practice field... Nice to see him voted Captain along with Mosely & Hardee.
Flacco will have to play really well for him to start week 2 in front of a healthy Zach. Like "who the fuck is that guy" well.
Let the kid play for God's sake. We aren't winning Superbowl this year. Let the kid play and show us what he is.
The Ravens do not have great pass rush. They have decent LB and a really good secondary but their d-line is average at best
I think the guys who wear the C are the people the admins push to be the captains. The “real” captains are known in the locker rooms.
I agree with this, but he needs at least 12 games for an accurate assessment of his growth. Next year, drafting a QB high and hitting could actually be the best thing that happens, if he’s a bust.
