Saleh & Ulbrich keep their safeties 20 yards back away from the action anyway. You can get any warm body to push the ball carrier out of bounds after picking up the 1st down. Most the time they are ready for that and allow you to do so
It clearly works when you have the right one which is why it's alarming we cut two good ones in favor of a bad one who has the worst instincts I've ever seen.
Gotta look at who is not being released yet, still deep at DL and WR. Perhaps there is a trade in the works for OL or safety help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Except everyone with half a brain could see all the warning signs with Becton. I had no doubt in my mind Becton would miss extensive time this year, if not the entire season. Literally no one was surprised when Becton went down again. Weight issues, mental issues with rabbit ears, and hasn’t been able to stay healthy at all. The signs were all there, and add on top of that he let our starting RT walk. Duane Brown is no guarantee for anything. A 37yo FA sitting there for the taking in July/August is not someone we should be high fiving about or banking on at all. We had a pro bowl LT and a solid RT last year. Our pro bowl LT has proven time and again he’s a liability at RT, yet we moved him anyway and let a solid starter go for what amounted to peanuts compared to what we are paying Brown. Our OT situation right now is worse that it was last year, and if Brown or Fant get injured then our OT situation is dire.
Mildly surprised by Jonathan Marshall. Probably a PS candidate. I bet they claim/sign a DT to improve depth
Hopefully I missed something but how in the F is Wesco, Shepard, and Davis still on the roster. They suck . Shepard spends more time on his back then a Vegas call girl. Wesco still hasnt made a block and Davis is never healthy and when he is healthy he is a traffic cone. I am kinda starting to have doubts about Douglas.
If those two bums Davis and Wesco are on this team in a few hours I’m gonna be pissed off like I think JD has done some good things. But that would be horrible from our CS to reward mediocre play and Keep them over Cager or Pinnock who was cut already
Minor or major moves require the same concept--choose the option that will return more value. You choose a penny over a nickel--only worth 4 cents but its still dumb.
It can't be a bad move unless the guys HOF? And anyway my rant was about Will Parks more than Streveler although it fits too.
I feeling the same way--Cager gonna get cut and we're keeping Wesco. I guess we'll keep all the losers from last year and expect to be better.
Baseball has a stat WAR--wins above replacement. Mike White--obviously zero to some negative number Chris Streveler--? Why the fuck would you keep a zero to neg number which no-one is going to argue with over someone who may be positive? It makes no fucking sense. So what if it turn out White is better--both are 0 or less WAR.
I have no problem with cutting Cager. He is a developmental player that should have no issue making the PS. I do take issue with keeping Davis on the team and to a lesser extent Wesco. I could see the argument for giving Boyer a few ST he wants and if he wants Wesco then its more understandable. But Davis helps no one. I am not a fan of keeping MW but with ZW Wilson you have to keep him. Strevler will not play this year after getting two weeks of total practice time. Give him a year on the PS and maybe he can compete for more snaps next year in camp.
