Heavy forbid baseball actually gives what the fans really want which is DeGrom vs Yankees. I know it's the Mets decision but it's part of the problem with baseball as a whole. They tweak their rules every freaking season it seems in an effort to draw people in but when moments are there to be grabbed on the field that could attract some interest it isn't lined up! I mean the fact that two of their best players are playing for the Angels and most people don't even know who they are and couldn't pick them out of a lineup is a failure on the league part. I mean the NFL brings an alleged predator back just in time to face his old team. I'm just saying MLB actually doing things to actually promote their players and match ups would go further than these constant rule tweaks.

Talk of the town is how the NY team that’s in a precarious situation were the Yankees. They are still up 8 games in the standings the Mets aren’t. It’s inexcusable that the bullpen wasn’t really addressed at the trade deadline.
18-9 in a span in which the Mets played 27 games in 26 days. Ended that down poorly but that makes sense given the amount of games played. Rest up tomorrow and beat the piss out of the Rockies.

They’ve certainly done nothing to improve the bullpen, and with 6-innings-at-best starters these days, that’s a major hole.
