I don’t see how we keep that many TEs, but Wesco is prob gone for sure and Cager has been making so many plays and looking good how can we cut him? Don’t think he makes it to the PS. Crazy how we went from one of the worst positions to a strong area. I would love to keep Cager he seems to find ways to get open

I don't care how bad of a practice Flacco has, I want him starting over Mike White.

The injury to Zack is likely the only thing giving White a chance to make the team. I still don't think it makes sense to keep White over good players that can contribute especially at his salary. Good chance he is still headed to the practice squad. He can be brought up from the PS in week one to serve as a back-up.

well probably just means Bawden/Wesco/ forgetting the kid that was drafted or went undrafted at TE won’t make it. Carry 4.

Has Ruckert done anything? Not writing him off, but it would be nice to find out he's making some plays.

He just came off the injury list and started practicing a week or two ago. Which might be one of the reasons he fell to almsot round four. He did play and catch a TD in the pre-season game. When he was drafted the thought was that he would redshirt this year and spend the year learning route trees as he did not get to run many routes at OSU.

How is he gonna redshirt this year though? Is he going to take up one of the 53-man spots and just be inactive? if they try to cut him and practice squad he's gone

I would think (hope) that he would feature on a good number of special teams.

Probably will but the expectation is this will be a learning developmental year for him with the hope that next year he will take on a bigger role. TE is a difficult position to learn to begin with and then given his inexperience in the passing game at OSU is why he was not expected to make much of an impact this year.

I missed the preseason TD as I didn't watch after Zach went down. I was thinking he could be the #3 TE this year and develop into the #1 by 2024 when he should be a more complete player.

I have seen some reports after the draft was that they really liked him and hoped that he might be able to take over as the number one in 2023 but that might be asking a lot. He certainly can contribute a lot this year as a blocker and on ST but without much of a camp I am not aware how much development he has made as a receiver and how much he can be trusted. There was lots of info on him immediately post draft but little since with the injury. Everything that was said in May was that he needed to learn the full route tree and that it was expected to take time. Regardless, he sounds like an exciting pick, with a great attitude, lots of upside and an entertaining dad.

I'm 2,500 miles away from Michael Clemons... and he frightens me a little.

    Dude is serious...
