Cheaper than Garropolo, easier to get away from next season, and provides pretty much the same result. Ain’t getting anywhere, but at least entertaining.
I'd be down for Minshew more than Garoppolo. He's younger, would probably come cheaper, and he made the Jaguars look halfway competent.
Last year the Eagles traded a 6th for Minshew, and then traded Flacco back to us for a 6th. Why would they give us their backup QB now, especially with Hurts in a prove it year?
Knowing the offence is all well and good but when you know the offence but are just a shit QB then it kind of makes it pointless.
Except he's not a shit QB... Not even sure why you would think that. I'm not a fan of Jimmy G. ... but he's better than any QB the Jets have had since Farve.
Zach is out 2-4 weeks. Season is 4 weeks away. We have Flacco as a sub. Minshew and Garoppolo will cost capital. It may have made some sense when we thought Zach as ACL tear, but a moot point now.
Well, what a persuasive argument that was. Jimmy G is a below average QB, is that better for you, which really makes him shit, nobody goes, hell, our QB is just above average rah rah rah. It's a fan forum, you're either good or shit.
I didn't say he was a great quarterback... but he's a significant upgrade over Zach Wilson (at this point)... I'm uncomfortable even defending the guy... I don't particularly like him and don't particularly want him as a Jet. But it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if we want to win games.
I'd rather have Flacco than him and that says even more. I have always liked Minshew as a back up type QB, one of those slightly above-average chaps we don't celebrate lol As for being better than Wilson right now, we are both better than him right now lol
Jimmy G. has a 70% win percentage in games he started. Show me an available qb that ranks higher and I'll pimp for him.
Why would the Eagles trade Minshew? They saw with their own eyes why you need a good second QB. They made a smart deal to acquire him.
Show me a QB that has played for good teams. Pats, 49ers and I'll show you a QB that will have a high win percentage. What do you expect his win percentage to look like after rocking up at the Jets? ps for a guy not comfortable defending him, it sure seems like you're putting on your slippers, pouring a drink and lighting a pipe, that is how comfortable you seem.
