1999 was way worse, that was a Super Bowl contender. This is a shitty team with a 2nd year QB coming off a shitty rookie season. It was probably going to end in tears anyway.

If they thought he tore his ACL, they wouldn't be letting him walk around.

Obviously very limited action but he didn't look great before the injury. I don't think this team was going anywhere this year I just wanted to see improvement. The bigger deal to me is what do you do next year? Get Zach and Becton back and hope for the best? Move on from one or both? The worst part is we have to guess with both

If Zach is really out for the season, and the team doesn't significantly surprise me to the upside, I'd fire Douglas and Saleh and let the new GM decide to do with Zach and Becton.

It's football, players get hurt. Nothing said here makes any difference. Joe Namath got injured often and the Jets unlike today didn't have a good backup. Al Woodall was willing but not very skilled. Let's wait to see what's up.

Keep JD. Saleh has to prove he can coach now.

Mike White and Flacco should be able to play with these weapons.

Well yeah obviously I stated 1999 was worse, but at least we were coming off a 12-4 season and had some pieces in place to be decent going forward. Having a young, unproven team/coaching staff I really wanted to see how they would gel. Not even considering them making the playoffs. Just saying there was a lot of excitement coming into the season.

I say keep JD. Things aren't working out but still the more confidence I've had in a Jets FO in my life.
Let's see what Saleh does this season.

Right he would have compression on it. They don’t do surgery when it’s swollen.

No brace yet. Definitely a compression sleeve

What on Earth could possibly give you confidence in him? The incessant losing? The continued professionalism of the Ravens and Eagles after he left? The blown 2020 draft? The Zach Wilson pick? The Vegas odds of 5.5 wins this season in the timespan it takes good GMs to turn a bad team into playoff contenders? He's Idzik all over again (remember Idzik got good assets for Revis and stole Ivory and Decker), but he talks smoothly and has muscles, and Jets fans have forgotten what competence feels like, so here we are willing to let him hire a second-tier coaching candidate because no good candidate would touch him if he has another losing season.

Again, he could still prove me wrong if the Jets play well this year, and I'm certainly not saying to fire him now. But if we suck again, he has to go.
