If it's an ACL, Wilson is likely done for the year. We could tank with Flacco and White, but Saleh and Douglas are likely done at that point and we're rebuilding again. New regime, new coaches, new system, and a bum knee - How is Wilson going to thrive in that? Sorry to be so negative, but JFC this team. Jimmy G is a proven game manager. He's boring, but he does what it takes to win. I'd love to win some games, and maybe Jimmy G can be our long term solution? For whatever reason(s), this franchise simply cannot develop QBs - so why keep wasting high draft capital on the position? Find the money and bring him to NY.
It won't be, but sure, if it's a 3rd or 4th round pick, go get him. But if we win 7 games because of Garoppolo, Douglas needs to be fired regardless.
The development of the offense as a whole is important. Can’t let these guys wither away with shitty QB play.
I definitely do not want to go into the season with Flacco. That’s a dead end street that we’ve driven down two years in a row. If White hasn’t grown or can’t go, then why is he on the roster? So yeah, in this context, Jimmy doesn’t sound bad. That’s not to say he’s great or even the preferred option. Maybe JD can trade for Minshew? That sounds a lot better, honestly.
I got the feeling that they wanted him to get as many early reps as he could to showcase him. Flacco didn't even dress.
Twitter is such a cesspool. Literally tweets ranging reporting from fine to ACL. I think just watching the play it's an ACL, but hope for the best.
Why couldn't he just slide or run out of bounds? It's a fucking pre season game dude. Anger is starting to settle in now. How can both our 1st rounder cornerstones go down within the same week?
No point dwelling on it and getting angry. Just move forward and not care so much. It's hard but it'll be better for the mind
I know you're right. No player is above the organization, but so much expectations coming into the season, and just like that the air is let out of the ballon. Not as bad as 1999, but not that far away either.
