Huh? What’s your issue with Becton that you spew this nonsense?

Gotta be left. He is no spring chicken, played all career at left. Much easier to switch to Right for Fant.

In my estimation, signing Duane Brown puts them back even. They're still a little behind the 8 ball with no backup swing tackle. I don't feel comfortable going into the season without another tackle. I wonder if JD will follow through with that at this point? Brown was supposed to play a backup role. Now, obviously he'll be the starter and we're still down an OL.

    Other questions to be answered:

    1) Will Brown play tomorrow night?

    2) Will JD still pursue another insurance policy in the form of a backup?

    3) Who plays where? I would submit more than likely Fant moves to RT. Can't teach an old dog new tricks and Brown is an old dog. 37 on August 30.

Very good article. @Ralebird, you might want to read this. Major takeaways on why injury occurred:

"He was born with a condition known as "knock knees", makes him more prone to knee cap injuries".
"Chao also cited Becton's weight issues as a contributing factor in his durability issues."

This helps explain why he didn't have this injury before: he was much lighter in College. The good news is that they can fix his right knee alignment. The bad news is that his left knee still has this condition and his right knee even though will be normally aligned like other people, had two major injuries already.

I saw Noam's post and I'm always looking for more information, I'd be interested in reading this but it's behind a paywall. One doctor says it is unrelated to last year's injury, another says it's not. At the same time I don't see one guy's opinion as a "major takeaway" on why anything occurred especially when it doesn't appear he has any inside information on Becton's individual case.

“Fan” is short for “fanatic” so , yeah irrationally exuberant applies.
    fa·nat·ic
    /fəˈnadik/
    noun
    1. a person filled with excessive and single-minded zeal

Maybe you root for the Jets. Maybe you follow the Jets. But if words still have meaning, you’re not a fan.

*there is a strong chance words no longer have meaning

Okay for you. Here's the first definition that came up in my Googling (after the noun referring to air movement devices). You may not even have been alive when I became a Jets fan, no irrationality required:

    fan2
    [ fan ]
    noun
an enthusiastic devotee, follower, or admirer of a sport, pastime, celebrity, etc.:a baseball fan; a great fan of Charlie Chaplin. (Dictionary.com)

    fan

    /fan/

    noun
    1. an apparatus with rotating blades that creates a current of air for cooling or ventilation. "a couple of ceiling fans, lazily turning"
    2. a device, typically folding and shaped like a segment of a circle when spread out, that is held in the hand and waved so as to cool the person holding it by causing the air to move. "the girls were giggling behind their fans"

I did a little more research and it turns out there are 2 possible origins for the term “fan” used in sports. The 1st is from “fanatic” and the other is from boujee spectators of events who would fan themselves.

So @Ralebird was right, we’re just different types of fans, I apologize.

@abyzmul thank you for putting an image of RB fanning himself while giggling in my head.

A lot of Jets fans predicting a winning season are fanning themselves heavily tonight.
