Official 2022 Jets Training Camp

Thank God for training camp

 

Let's hope Mims has a good camp so we can get some trade value for him before the season starts. He would look great in a Panthers uniform, but I think we already have all their draft picks.

 

He's going to wow at camp, then get listed at 6 on the first depth chart behind a Smith and Twitter will explode.

 

Just escape camp and preseason without an injuries man...please.

So hyped to finally get back into this and see what the 2022 Jets have to offer.

 

I think if he woes in training camp he deserves a shot here. I also expect a lot more out of Davis this year. IMO The only untouchables are Wilson, Moore and Berrios at this point. And Berrios because of special team contribution first and foremost.

 

I just want there to be a training camp brawl between Breece Hall and Bryce Hall.

 

Bryce Huff should be involved in this.

 

I want to see hall and Carter square up with hall and Carter

What I'm looking for in camp.
QB- Hoping to see a young guy get released in camp and we snatch him up and stash on P.S. for development. If so, cut White and roll with Zach/Flacco this year.
WR- J. Smith- Mims-C. Jackson- I. Charles. I think Charles gets stashed on P.S. with those 3 battling for 2 spots.
TE- This is the last chance for Yeboah to stay with the team and that's only as a P.S. guy. With long term contracts for 3 guys ahead of him on depth chart, I doubt he sticks with the team this season.
T- Edoga- Mitchell. Can the light finally go ON for Edoga? Some guys take time to develop. Mitchell is a 4th rd pick. Can't stash on PS, someone will snatch him. My understanding is he needs to add weight(muscle) before being serviceable. So the swing tackle job likely comes down to Edoga and McDermott .. again.
G- B. Kelly. I really liked this FA signing. He has experience at T and G. If he proves his worth, he's more valuable than a straight up Guard(Samia/Herbig) as a backup.
DE- Curry- Zuniga-Martin. Even though we added 2 rookies in the draft(both will make 53), Martin SURELY has to make the 53 since his FA signing for multiple years. Which leads to possibly both Curry and Zuniga getting cut.
OLB- Biggest deficiency on the roster. Sure would be nice to sign Kwon. Who can step up on the current roster? I don't have any idea honestly.
S- Joyner-A. Davis- Pinnock. I think Pinnock has a long term future with the Jets. Davis has reportedly made marked improvements, which could lead to the cutting of Joyner.

 

Good point about Barrios and a reason why Mims not playing special teams (even with sub 4.4 speed) is behind the eight ball.

 

Herbig has played G & C plus he was a Douglas guy with the Eagles. They may see him as the eventual replacement for McG.

 

Craig James picked up from the Eagles to help on special teams and CB position.

I think he will suck at camp, if he makes the cut gets a few nice catches game.1.. then the cult of Mims returns to tell us how he's a wasted talent

 

Let's see what JD can get for him. Maybe he'll pull off another steal.
