Really annoying!!!!! They pop-up on every page loaded and require a click each time to eliminate. Please get rid of them. The banner ads are okay, easy to scroll passed them.
I understand the need for revenue, however, these ads make it so I regret coming on the site. Maybe there's a way where these ads pop up once or twice, and then don't appear for the remainder of the user session. I could live with that.
Westie. Trust me this isn’t on us. Sometimes the ad agencies change their stuff. Boss Petro has been busy with work/life. Hopefully he sees this and adjusts the settings. Please have patience with us. Until then feel free to add an ad blocker to your browser but please turn it back off after the issue is resolved. We rely on ad revenue to keep the site up. Never asked money from the users. Your patience is truly appreciated
I've contacted infolinks regarding this issue. If they don't fix the problem within the next few days, I'll remove infolinks ads. Thanks
Just to confirm... are we talking about the ad at the bottom of the page? It used to disappear for 24 hrs once clicked off.
On my browser which is Google Chrome, the ads appear at the bottom until you click them off. They will stay off as long as you stay on the same page. However, once you go to another page, another ad appears at the bottom. They may behave differently with other browsers. Recently, I noticed that the ads have changed in appearance slightly and they are no longer tagged "infolinks." In addition, I just noticed that the ads do disappear after about 30 seconds, which is a new phenomenon, however, they still appear on each new page.
They attempted to fix it today and for now made it disappear after 30 secs on desktop and 20 secs on mobile. They also tried to make the ad disappear for 24 hrs once clicked off (the way it used to be) but it did not work. They will keep trying.
It seems so. There is still a tiny window that appears in the lower left that says "Waiting for......" but then that goes away after a few seconds. Totally acceptable as is. As I have said, we all understand the need to generate revenue to keep the site up and vibrant, which it is, but not at the cost of aggravation. We get enough of that from the Jets. Thank you @Petrozza for dealing with this issue.
