It’s not politics, it’s history

A while ago in the Politics forum I said America is a failed state.
I got a lot of flack for that statement...

It may be a "shitty job"... there's no reason to hand it to a corrupt & inept politician.

 

If only there was an Ike like candidate out there. Maybe there is and we don't know about it.

 

Shitty jobs draw shitty candidates. Seriously.

 

This would require the parties to acknowledge they have to change course immediately. One party has geriatric leadership and isn't fighting for what the current POTUS ran on while the other is all on the previous POTUS who can't acknowledge he lost.

 

All of the Ike-like candidates are in the deep security state because that's just how the world rolls right now.

McRaven, Clapper, I don't know who else would have the pull across party lines.

Odierno would have been great but he passed, RIP.

 

I doubt a capable leader will come from the military any time soon.

Shit... I'd vote for @Br4d over any of these swamp creatures out of D.C.
