Funny, I think Rusty Hardin and his team will do just fine without me.

It should be noted that Winston's discipline was executed under an earlier Personal Conduct Policy and Collective Bargaining Agreement than Watson will be. The three game suspension of Winston may have no bearing on the Watson case.

This is not a court of law. They can play the game of a third party recommending a suspension or not but at the end of the day Goodell is Judge, Jury and executioner, the decision will be his no matter who they say will make the decision.

The argument the owners should be held to the same standard is a noble one but let's be real, Goodell works for the owners, not the players.

You realize Goodell doesn't hear the case any longer, an independent "Disciplinary Officer" does, right? Of course Goodell still has the power to hear and decide on any appeal within the NFL framework. Anything decided by the NFL must be consistent with both the Personal Conduct Policy and the Collective Bargaining Agreement and must also be applied consistently with prior decisions under the same rules.

It is all for show my friend. He still has the final say on punishment. No matter what the independent disciplinary officer reccomends.

The commissioner can only change the decision of the Disciplinary Officer under an appeal and only as it relates to modifying the amount of discipline not to a finding of guilt.

    "(e)(v)

The Disciplinary Officer’s disciplinary determination will be final and binding subject only to the right of either party to appeal to the Commissioner. The appeal shall be in writing within three business days of the Disciplinary Officer’s decision, and any response to the appeal shall be filed in writing within two business days thereafter. The appeal shall be limited to arguments why, based on the evidentiary record below, the amount of discipline, if any, should be modified. The Commissioner or his designee will issue a written decision that will constitute full, final and complete disposition of the dispute and will be binding upon the player(s), Club(s) and the parties to this Agreement."

Watson will be suspended and Ralebird will have 5 pages worth of excuses as to why he wasn't wrong. Book it.

Why would I? I have never claimed Watson will not be suspended.

Watson will be suspended, sue and not have the suspension reversed. Is that more like it!

You are definitely entitled to your ridiculous opinion. When he get suspended and doesn't successfully sue, I will be all over you like white on rice. I hope you don't disappear when that happens.

I also never said that Watson will successfully sue anyone if he is suspended. It sounds like, if not now, you are planning on trolling in the future.

What exactly did you say? That he would sue and lose?

No, that's not what I said - if it matters to you feel free to look it up, there's only a few hundred posts here.

Or, you can continue to just make false statements.

Or you could just tell us. Whatever you claimed is wrong. That much I know. Why did he settle 20 cases if he didn't do anything? Just for the fuck if it?

I had a discussion with someone on this board who claimed that NFL players cannot sue the league because doing so is not written in the CBA. Whoever stated that is wrong.
