Drafting Sauce at 4 is Saleh saying "My Dline will struggle to provide consistent pressure on the QB". "I don't have the dogs. There are no dogs in this draft. There are no dogs on the waiver wire. If I can't beat them in the front end, then I'll beat them in the back end". In hockey they constantly tinker with the rotations, looking for that magic combination. Saleh will do the same with our Dline. But he knows. He knows. If our Dline can become at least average, that would be a huge improvement. HUGE!!! That, plus Sauce and Reed, might just work.
Or. It was joe Douglas saying, Gardner is a lot better than any other player available and we need good players I think I’ll pick him.
thats exactly what it was. JD says when you pick that high you take BPA regardless. they felt sauce was that. personally I didn't agree but i'll trust in JD and saleh. Saleh also spoke highly of bryce and echols too and said sauce still has to earn his spot.
You are correct. I quoted his 2020 stats which average 36. Over his career he seems to hover around 800+ snaps over a full season. Having said that, not sure what the relevance to his brother stats has to do with anything. It’s the entire DL that they want to optimize health and freshness by limiting snaps. Also think for this type of defensive line full frontal attack philosophy limiting snaps is still the way to go.
donald avg 54 snaps per game in 2020 ... https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/reports/snap-counts/dl.php?year=2020
Zach being interviewed, a few days ago, by Sanchez and Mangold. Nice interview of Zach as it comes off pretty real and natural.
