Seahawks fans can try to pump up themselves however they want, but what this article failed to mention is the time worn saying by Branch Rickey: "Addition by subtraction". The Jets got rid of a fat contract for a guy who, while being named All Pro, didn't win many - if any - games singlehandedly, and they got rid of his mouth and his distraction. The draft picks we got were icing on the cake.

We won the trade, but we have a long way to go before we can mock the Seahawks.

Yes, but even without those "wins", we still would've come out ahead because we got rid of an expensive headache that really didn't make a huge difference for us.

to be fair he did make a difference for us. he probably single handedly added 2-3 wins t us. he hasn't had that impact with seattle though and they are a team on the downswing

not sure but think that article might be satire.

either way, will go down as a terrible trade for Sea. They stupidly overpaid for an over-drafted middle lb who plays out of position because he is undersized. Every thing about J Adams and his game is terrible. Contract, mouth, health, play, you name it, it now stinks.

believe me many seahawks fans have convinced themselves it was a great trade. any fan base works that way. a majority of them know it was a bad deal though. articles like this are made to piss people off and get clicks. real journalism is long dead in favor of click bait

Is there a faint correlation between reality and his write up. I don’t think there is a fan in Seattle that buys into this BS

Waste of an article just a guy looking for clicks

I don’t think there are too many people who would agree the Seahawks won that trade

or put another way, given the chance to do it again the Jets would jump at the chance, it I’m guessing the Seahawks would look to renegotiate that trade

I actually feel bad for this guy. No one should be this desperate for business.

Sooner or later people will realize Fansided articles are just lengthy fan posts like we used to get from DWC and NCJetsfan, just on another site which ultimately gets linked here. Never much to them and just designed to get a rise out of people which results in more clicks for them.

There is no doubt Jamal is a very good player, but at this stage of his career he is overpaid and injury prone. I think pretty much everyone except for this writer would rather have AVT, on rookie deal, who plays a premium position and has no injury history, over Jamal. With the difference in money you can think of it as AVT+Whitehead to cover safety, and plus another player really. To me it is clear that AVT on rookie deal alone is better than having Jamal for 18 per.

But what's really remarkable, is that the writer essentially equates #10 overall pick in the draft with #109 (Hawks got from us and picked Bryant) by comparing Bryant favorably to Sauce, because they are on the same team, and Bryant won Jim Thorpe award, and saying he may be as good as GW. If that's the case, with Jamal better than AVT, and McDougald not having much value, Hawks won the trade.

Basically at this stage to say #10=#109 is idiotic, even if you would rather have Jamal at 18 mil over AVT on rookie deal. But that type of idiocy is exactly what it takes to claim that Seattle maybe has won this trade.

He got his panties in a bunch because Brook told him enough after another of his "You have no clue" posts and he said "Tell you what, I'll just quit the board. IMO his statement about Lawson was totally outrageous, appalling, and not factual.".

He had one post after that and that was it. No great loss.
