The Mets lineup is literally a machine. How many times have Mets fans been able to say that in the franchises history??
it's crazy. They are only going to get better as it gets warmer too and the ball starts to jump off the bat. The only one who is driving me nuts is Escobar. Guy hit 28 homers last year and has been awful this year.
Nats pitchers have thrown more than 180 pitches in each of these two games. Syndergaard made his return to New York tonight in the Bronx and didn't make it out of the third inning, giving up 5 earned runs
Mets complete the back-to-back sweeps, with 21 consecutive scoreless innings and counting. They are currently on a 109-win pace. Off to Los Angeles and San Diego, where it will presumably be considerably more difficult.
The difference between playing the Phils and Nats and playing the Dodgers has certainly been apparent tonight. Looks like all those Mets players who loved him won't get to visit with Cano in San Diego - his pathetic time with them (3 singles and 10 Ks in 33 at bats) is apparently over. https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/lo...ull-plug-on-robinson-cano-experiment/2962032/
Honestly, not even a terrible loss. 2-0 loss in the first game on a west coast trip. Pitching showed up against a fantastic lineup. Mets can definitely can 2 games here.
The first loss vs the Dodgers was excusable given it was the first game of a west coast trip. Last night was bad. This team needs to find a way to hit the damn ball.
