I really think Trouba is very underrated by our fan base. There's a reason he's paid the way he is: he's a very tough glue-type defenseman.
I agree that Trouba has talent, but there is no way he is getting 8M per year if the Rangers had any clue that Fox would be this good.
Trouba is underrated by our fanbase, but that stems from the fact that Trouba is making a couple million too much.
That's a fallacy though. What he's getting paid is a sunk cost. What he gives us every game is an A-level defenseman. Not a superstar but he is definitely very good at what he does and the Rangers are a much tougher team when he is out there. When you adjust for era he reminds me a lot of Dave Maloney. Not the fighter that Maloney was but that's because the incidence of fighting in the NHL has gone way down since that era.
He's a very good D-Man that is making superstar money. I wouldn't sink any resources in trying to get rid of him (like a pick + salary dump). I really like Trouba and I think his presence on this team is underrated. There were rumblings that Trouba was going to be the next captain.
He trucked Max Domi last night and then pasted the goon that went after him. That's a successful night in my book.
Yep, Lotta people talkin crap bout him (myself included) but that right there scored points...fuk yea..lol ftr, Still think the RANGERS are getting swept...no way they recover from that Gm 1 loss.
Rangers need to be pressuring the puck from the beginning tonight. One good way to handle Carolina's pressure is to go right back at them with the same tactics.
It got the 'Canes going hard again. I can't help thinking that a little adversity will flatten them again. Two bad penalties in a row.
the turnover was clumsy, but... their execution was perfect.... bouncing saucer pass batted off the short hop...
Is it me or where there any replays that showed a clear offside? at most some angles were inconclusive but maybe I didn't see the angles that showed it..
