I’m rooting for the three-peat, I love what the Lighting have done for hockey, another American team as a dynasty, screw the Canadien teams and their pompous fan base.
They win it again then they are approaching a dynasty level of dominance. Last night sweeping the Panthers was very impressive. Vasilevskiy allowing only 3 goals the entire series is just further proof he is the best goalie hockey. Back to back Stanley Cup championships and will most likely have a chance to win 3 in a row. These last 3 years of play he basically punched his ticket to the HOF. Last night Florida dominated that game for most of it and the brick wall denied them every chance they got.
That's the thing: That was NOT a cupcake team they completed a sweep against, but they made them look like an IHL Squad.
I have a buddy whose GF works at the Garden and just told me that they overbooked/sold tickets to the game tonight. They are trying to do damage control and his GF was going to go to the game tonight until they took her tickets away saying she can't go now because of the overbooking. They are taking all the employees tickets away to account for the mistake. Insane
Yeah, exactly. She is saying the Garden is freaking out and is an absolute disaster right now trying to figure out how to solve this.
I had a feeling they’d ratchet it up for the playoffs. The only problem I have with the Lightning is they used an “injury” loophole to circumvent the cap in 2020-2021 by having Kucherov stay on long-term IR until playoffs since they manipulated the scheduling for his surgery. But hey, they played by the NHL's stupid rules and won a Stanley Cup so kudos to them.
Wake up call for both the Rangers and the Hurricanes: the two-time defending champs just swept the team with the best overall regular season record and they're next on the hit parade after this series. On the bright side the Rangers won't get caught looking ahead and the 'Canes just might.
Gallant needs to get Vatrano the fuck off the 1st line again. Kreider — Mika — Chytil was their best line in game 3 both defensively and generating offense. The Panarin and Strome pairing needs someone to give them juice. Panarin just isn’t shooting the puck. They need a shooter. Put Motte on that line since he’s someone that will actually shoot the damn puck. Lafreniere — Copp — Kakko
No idea. Maybe they released tickets to the 2nd market while also selling them directly? Idk, but it was an absolute cluster fuck earlier today. Lots of pissed off garden employees thats for sure.
