Zibanejad is good enough that it probably makes sense to acquire a big center and put the guy at RW and have him take face-offs in the defensive zone at least. Probably in the offensive zone also.

I get that people are a bit down on Z at this point but he's one of the top 5 two-way centers in the NHL and he also very good on the powerplay and shorthanded. I mean he does everything but win face-offs consistently.

I love Z as a player for us, but we def need a legit faceoff guy that we can count on. Getting smoked every game

To be fair, Carolina smokes everyone in face offs.

Bergeron is a hall of fame player and he got his ass kicked.

Gallant was double shifting him in the third period of game six. He knows what he’s doing.

ONE minute in and YET ANOTHER wide open miss by Kakko. It’s getting tiresome to listen to people justify him remaining on this team.

Well, multiple misses of wide open nets to statt?

I’d like to see Miller try to carry the puck into the offensive zone at this point. Passing through the neutral zone isn’t working.

Given the pressure by the Canes, Zibanejad should launch that one timer every time he gets the puck

Except his goal wasn’t a one timer.

Yes, this has downsides though over the playoff season. Lots of games to play and if you play every game like it is the last game the guys you are double-shifting lose their legs at some point.

The young guys really have to step it up or the Rangers are going to be eliminated.

You can not give a soft goal like that.

The Canes use their sticks on defense as well as anybody I've seen in a while and by that I mean a lot of stickwork and no penalties. They also skate really well. Tough damn series to win. The Rangers are going to have to really step it up to keep up with them.

Honestly I love the way the canes play. Always pressuring the puck.

They remind me a lot of the good Capitals teams of the last decade.
