No. It was Torres. He was on 2nd and Gallo was on 3rd. Higgy hot a fly ball to left, not terrible deep with the score 2-1. Both runners tagged and Torres' job was to make the fielder cut off the ball. He should have went returned to 2nd after faking the tag. Instead he continued and was thrown out easily. Gallo did score though.

I can't blame the loss on him though. That's on Chapman. Fucking guy is just not that good anymore.

How good has Cortes been? I figured last year was an outlier but holy shit. 1.35 ERA. He is pitching like a true ace.

Do you think the wheels finally come off the cart or is this guy for real?

He’s also eating up innings. Very important considering Boone is going to burn up at least two bullpen guys by the ASG.

The Yankees need to find a replacement for Chapman. He can't be trusted.

He’s very unpredictable in terms of if he’s going to have command of his pitches or not. I wish they’d consider going into a committee. They have enough live arms out there and can add one by the deadline to spread some saves around.

Boone also needs to recognize that when he doesn’t have it and walks two guys in a row, it’s time to give him the quick hook assuming he can get someone ready.

That cutter he just threw to Abreu to finish striking out the side was straight filthy. It looked like it almost fooled Higashioka.

Feel for Chad Green. He's been a solid Yankee and his arm finally blew and years of heavy lifting.

This is the first major injury for the Yankees this season? That's a huge improvement over last few seasons. Sucks for Green for sure though.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen Chapman with short sleeves.

Yankees falling back to earth. For a good team, they sure run out a lot of guys who never seem to hit.

Trevino has twelve hits last night, obviously needs to sit today.

Nice to see folks still complaining about the Yankees even in a year like this one.

I still can't get over the fact the Yankees used Aaron Hicks contract as a reason they could not pay judge more.

At this point, they need to outsource signing and trading for outfielders because cash is terrible at it.

They have to re-sign Judge. Yeah it'll be an overpay, and he'll underperform his salary on the back end, but in the end, losing him could cost the Yankees more revenue than his contract. Plus it would destroy the team morale. This isn't like letting Cano walk several years ago; it would be like letting Jeter walk in his prime.
