Title says it all. Who do you want to beat the hell out of week 1? My wife and I are likely going to one of these away games. I really want to go to the Cleveland game and hit the HOF while we are over there. Sidenote: Does TGG do any tailgates/meet-ups for the games?
I would so be down for a Cleveland away game at the dawg pound and meetup for sure! Let’s get together with others once we have the dates
Really good question. Do we want an easy matchup so we can start off with a win and an opportunity to build confidence? Do we want an ass kicking so the coaches can watch film and fix problems? Personally I would like to see us face off against the Dolphins in their house. Their flashy new receiver is going to need some time to develop chemistry with the rest of the team. As road underdogs we would have no pressure to win. A shootout could give our offense some confidence and help our defense to identify weaknesses.
Theres a humidity factor down there in September. They’d make it a 1:00 game…Is prefer they play there a little later in the year.
I went to Canton back in 2004. Maybe it’s changed since then but I was a little disappointed. It was kinda small In comparison with the MLB HOF. I was in and out in less than a couple hours. Plus there’s nothing else around in conjunction with the NFL. I was able to run over to the McKinley Tomb the same day. That was 18 years ago so maybe things have changed….. In Cooperstown you can literally spend the day there between the exhibits and the entire street with other exhibits not officially MLB sponsored.
I can agree with that lol. I don’t recall the Jets ever playing Miami in the snow unless you count that MNF game from 2014 but that was more of a cold rain
I'd like to start out against Cleveland because we might catch Watson still trying to gel with the team and playbook.
I think the NFL should do their young gun QB's a favor and schedule #1 pick Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars at #2 pick Zach Wilson and the Jets Week 1. Make it a Sunday Night game. Showcase young talent to the rest of the league's fans.
You want a team trending toward the bottom 2021 Like Jaxsonville or Detroit or Chicago Have a confidence building win just like college teams start their season Division games like NE and Miami tend to be emotional make or breakers and should start 3 or 4 weeks later when all players ready imo
That claim has been going around for a long time but just is not true. I have not checked recently but I know when I checked the last time, between 2000-2010 the Fins had a worse record in Sept. and Oct. than the rest of the season.
On the road against the Packers. Rodgers might be great and Green Bay is difficult to play in, but he has new WR's who might not be on the same page by then.
Well according to the same Twitter site which has the Jets opening Sunday night the Jets end the season in Miami so either way it shouldn’t be a factor this year ….
Either Packers or the Steelers on the road. I will attempt to do both games this year. Early season works well for me. I hope both Packers and Steelers are early in the season so give me one of those as week 1 or week 2 match up and I will be happy.
I am trying to get my wife to go to Denver or Seattle, but Cleveland and Minnesota are fall backs for us!
