Williams over Wilson would've made this an A+ for me. I can see why they went with the "safer" option in Wilson though, can't knock the process.
There’s like a 1% chance he’s fired if we win 7 games. They clearly reset everything after moving on from Gase. There’s no way he’s gonna be given 2 years, both of which showed improvement. Also, maybe this is a technicality, but he came on after the draft and FA in year 1 of Gase, so this is his third shot at putting the team together. If you want to give him the 7-9 ok, but starting the clock on his time to go really shouldn’t include an entire season with another guys roster.
That 2015 season from B-Marsh was incredible; hoping we get to see some dominance at the WR position soon.
I know he still recovering but Williams was looking a bit gimpy yesterday getting out of his seat and first few steps
That's why I'm not too upset about not going with him. I still prefer him and his ceiling to Wilson's but that's not to say that I don't like Wilson or his ceiling. Different strokes and all of that.
im not remotely suggesting you’re wrong but if I were the guy who drafted Williams I may have peed my pants a bit. No doubt he comes back but what if it knocks 0.1 on his 40 or some other metric or cuts. He’ll be good but not the guy on tape
Grade...A+++++++ Sauce providing some bulletin board material. Jets’ Sauce Gardner thinks he can take on Bills’ Stefon Diggs ‘easily’ in man coverage - syracuse.com
I liked it a lot more after we got Johnson at 26. personally, I was hoping for KT or one of the OTs at 4…they were all there for us, since I don’t trust Becton to play 16 games at all. And I think we have a bunch of young corners…so I was hoping to come out of round 1 with two of the following positions…OT, edge, and WR. but getting past all that, I’m not going to complain about taking one of the top corners….not like we don’t need help everywhere on our roster. And if Sauce delivers on his potential and becomes a lock down corner, then it’ll turn out well. I still think we need help at tackle, but now it’s looking more like a backup insurance instead of a starter…we could definitely use a LB, S, and RB too. but all in all…hard not to be thrilled at what we got last night…
6-27. Seriously. You know the *only* guy worse in 2 years running the Jets? Rich Kotite. And not that much worse. Seriously.
You’re completely ignoring context, but it seems you have an agenda so it’s probably not worth continuing this discussion.
Imagine being this miserable the morning after a potential franchise altering night that’s garnering praise from almost anyone who has an opinion on football…
Good, but not great.... wanted a draft similar to Giants. (KT and best available OL..... ). That being said, the success of this draft will be judged on the trade up for Johnson. If he's the stud they think he will be, then the draft is a HR, if not.....
