Hate this pick for the Lions. Williams is like the world's tastiest ice cream cone only he's on the street and the ants are marching.

 

Trade up values seem VERY light this year. It's a buyer's market.

 

In division trade though. surprising

 

All the things that the Lions need.. They trade up for, Jameson Williams?

Not sure that was the best move.

 

If JJ is there on the 35 I'm sure the Jets will be very interested.

 

Am I missing something? Those were 2 questionable trade up targets

 

They traded 2nd round picks, 34 to 46, and and gave up a third.

 

they got 12 & 46 for 32 34 & 66

 

Given how cheap it has been to trade up, if JD wants JJ, go get him.

 

Well..... it probably won't be cheap for us. Just everybody else.

 

if we come away with an Edge tonight. This will be as close to a home run round as I’ve seen.

I’ve been thinking we trade those 2nds for another first. Idk.

Out of curiosity, how far up would our 2 2s get us?

 

I know, I know, double post. I didn't think the other one took. It said DRAFT SAVED (heh), but I didn't see it.

 

Trading up is almost always bad. Nobody can pick All-Pro's reliably and when you trade up in the first round you need an All-Pro coming out of the deal. Economics dictates this since your first rounders are going to get paid like All-Pro's if they prove out as good or above. Damn well better get one if you trade several picks to make the trade.

 

I'd prefer if we don't trade up. There are gonna be two really good players there for us at 35 and 38.

 

And need to stop - never should have started - declaring anyone the best anything before they ran through a drill, much less played a down. The time for projections is over, results tell the story.

 

Apparently the Jets rejected a trade for Deebo while on the clock.

 

I thought the first 10 picks actually went by pretty quickly, but man this draft has come to a halt the last 3 or so.
