It’s draft day and the Vegas line has shifted to Hutchison as the favourite to the Jets! Vegas has it like this Walker Thibodeaux Stingley Hutchison I don’t think anyone thought this could happen but it actually might go down!
I really do buy the Walker first overall. He's -500 right now on DKs to be first and Hutch is +400. They wouldn't risk all that possible money lost on Hutch +400 if that pick wasn't going to go that way. 2 and 3 I have no idea. Hutch is -150 and KT is +120 and I would be shocked if Detroit actually passed on the hometown kid. Stingley is also the betting odds favorite to be the 3rd overall pick at +150 I still think we end up with Ekwonu, KT, or JJ at 4, but it would be amazing if Hutch was there. Remember that quote about JD and Saleh fist fighting over this draft pick? We might see it if Ekownu and Hutch are both on the board at 4.
Walker going 1 can happen but no way Lions are picking KT over Hutch. Detroit fans will burn the city down. No GM is that stupid
By the way, I never paid attention to Hutch thinking that would be stupid but just in case it happens, is he any good or just a 1 year wonder?
How would Vegas odds makers know how to put a line on this? There's no analytics on what Jacksonville will do here, maybe common sense, but bad teams/franchises (See the Jets) don't always follow these scripts. Do odds makers have inside sources too? As @dawinner127 hinted at, Vegas isn't in the business at losing money. How can they even give odds here?
I'd be shocked if Hutch gets past Detroit. Seems like Vegas would be too. I think the bare knuckle brawl would really be a thing if somehow Hutch and Ekwonu we're both available at #4.
This feels just like 2018, which obviously didn't work out. But most on this board wanted Darnold, but didn't think we had a chance. Until about 24 hours before the draft, when the rumor was buzzing. I could be wrong about this, but it's my memory. I personally don't know shit about any of these prospects. I get all my info from you guys.
No, 4 year player, but he got hurt his JR year (I forget the injury, I'm sure someone here knows) and missed most of that season
I initially wanted the JETS to trade down and take Lamar Jackson in the 20s.... then after Mac traded up with those 2nd rd pics... I wanted Josh Rosen
he needs to keep long armed tackles off his body...this is like a 7th percentile arm length....freakishly short
Fair enough, but alot of that "measurable" stuff is a bit overated....... that being said, his arms are maybe only an inch longer than mine (and I'm 6' )
Posted this in the "Dream Draft" thread but figured it was worth throwing in here too. Some serious smoke behind Hutch being there at 4. Before anyone thinks this guy is just some random guy who's done a mock draft, he's actually had the most accurate mock drafts over the last 3 years.
Well.... one way or another today is the day. Not much more guessing needed. Good luck and blessings to the Jets. I assume they are prepared and have as good of a plan as possible.
