Not a concert per se... but I got sit in front of Little Feat as they rehearsed for an upcoming tour. That was memorable if only for the intimacy... It was just myself and a friend as the audience.
I think the best concert that I've seen was Led Zeppelin at Earls Court in London in May 1975 - they sold out Earls Court for 6 nights in a row! Kashmir was incredible live!
I have been to so many concerts, hard to name them all. Some of the more interesting ones were The Blues Brothers (Belushi and Akroyd) at the Universal Amphitheater in LA in the front row, could see Belushi’s spit clear as day. Joe Walsh at the Westbury Music Fair - won the tickets off the Radio. Genesis at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium in 1982 I think. Phil Collins multiple times but front row in the Hello I Must be Going at Universal Amphitheater (had connections there). Last show I have been to was Genesis last December, Phil is in tough shape but they still rocked it with his son playing the drums. Been to see Rush in Detroit, Cleveland, Baltimore, Charlotte, Raleigh, MSG, Jones Beach, Brendan Byrne, Nassau Coliseum, LA Forum, Greensboro Coliseum, Walnut Creek Amphitheater (some venues more than once) Also The Ramones could not count how many times in clubs Zebra the same Bad Brains Cro Mags Red Hot Chile Peppers Pink Floyd - no Waters A Momentary Lapse of Reason U2 - twice ELP Yes a few times Asia, before first album released and once as old men Rod Stewart Sammy Hagar Reo Speedwagon John Cougar Mellancamp Journey Fleetwood Mac 10,000 Maniacs The Cranberries Twisted Sister Dio Ozzy The Kinks The Jackson’s Victory tour Billy Joel numerous times Paul Simon Elton John The Highway Men - great experience Being the good Dad took my girls to Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Jonas Brothers. Miley Cyrus
I went to setlist.fm and went through every show they played as listed on the website. The closest one I saw was Island Garden Arena in West Hempstead on 6/14/1968. Maybe that is the show Acad is referring to.
I was just trying to look up where I saw that Floyd had played commack, and I may have it mixed up with stony brook. Couldn’t find anything for commack.
I saw Floyd without Waters and Waters without the rest of Floyd. They will never get back together because Waters is a massive douchebag.
It was in '68... I thought it was at Commack Arena... probably was Hempstead Arena. Thanks for the research...
I was just trying to figure out how old you are, lol. I had you pegged for late 40's. I was off just a bit.
I saw Floyd in 1987 at the Carrier Dome, I may as well have been in another state. It was still cool seeing them.
