My wife and I went to see Jerry Cantrell last night in Nashville(mini-vacay). Great show! Growing up 20 minutes from Saratoga, I used to go to concerts all the time but that stopped once I got married and had 4 kids. Now, I definitely caught the bug and want to start seeing shows on a regular basis. Does anyone have tickets to any upcoming shows?
I have to tickets to see Tim McGraw and Jason Aldean this summer at the Xfinity amphitheater in Hartford, CT. My wife is a huge country fan and I actually like quite a bit of it. I used to do roughly 6-8 shows every year at Jones Beach. My buddy lived on LI and he would go grab tickets to multiple shows the day they went on sale. I've seen the majority of my concerts there including The Who, Rush, Yes, Anderson Wakeman Buford & Howe, Queensryche, Type-O Negative, the Scorpions, Deep Purple, Dio, the Allman Brothers, Van Hagar, Phish, Third Eye Blind, the Goo Goo Dolls, Live, Warren Haynes, Blues Traveler......you get the picture. I love live music. The only time I go see what I consider "heavy" rock is if my son will go with me. My wife is not a fan. I went to Seether last summer at Jones Beach with my son and it was awesome. He wants to go see Tool so I'm on the lookout for when they will be around. I would have loved to have seen Cantrell. I bet it was awesome!
We were probably at sone of the same shows there. Saw the queensryche/type o show there. Rush 3 times. Original sabbath reunion twice (3rd row). Kiss, dio, maiden, Motörhead. Love that venue. Saw Alice In Chains on their first tour with new singer here at house of blues Myrtle beach. metallica atleast 12 times dating back to the justice tour with queensryche. Type o, used to go see them at Lamour in Brooklyn a lot. Priest Testament Death angel Anthrax pantera Megadeth Wasp life of agony Tom petty/ Lenny kravitz Crosby stills and Nash Corrosion of conformity Yes Procol harum The cult Ozzy Korn Guns and roses Motley Crue Warrant(opener , not by choice lol) Fates warning Savatage Dream theater Buddy guy Yngwie malmsteen Steve vai David Gilmour. Saw the experience hendrix tour twice In Charleston. Highly recommended that if it ever comes around where you are:
We've definitely seen a lot of the same shows. It's easier for me to list who I haven't seen. Kiss Death Angel Pantera Wasp Life of Agony Petty Kravitz CoC Procul Harem Korn Motley Crue Savatage (dying to see them) Buddy Guy Motorhead Out of the bands still possible to see from that list, I really only want to see Korn and Savatage. I have a lot of my old concert stubs. Even have one from 1985 when I saw Iron Maiden (Queensryche opener) at Radio City for the Powerslave tour. I was 17. Took the train from Brewster, NY with a bunch of my friends. What a great time. That was my 3rd concert.
I have had tickets to see Agnes Obel for two bloody years, cancelled twice due to covid. She has already done the USA part of the tour, this is a song from NY
Damn, powerslave tour. That’s a hell of a show to have seen! Queensryche must have touring the warning at that point too. That’s awesome
Yes to both. I had no idea who Queensryche were and half paid attention like an idiot. It wasn't until a few years later that I really got into their music and then I saw them a shot load of times. I even withstood Def Leppard on the Hysteria tour im order to see them play most of Operation Mindcrime.
I have tickets from 2 years ago to see Nightwish at the NEC - rescheduled for November this year - can't wait for that one
Devin Townsend just played at the RAH in London. I would've loved to travel to see that show. Floor Jansen has a great voice and the new solo stuff I heard from her is pretty good.
Floor has an unbelievable voice and she can sing so many styles too. Looking forward to seeing Kai Hahto on the drums too - his playing on Winterson's Sons of Winter and Stars was epic.
I love Wintersun and had no idea he was the drummer for both bands. His drumming on "Time" is pretty awesome, too.
He took over as the drummer for Nightwish when the original drummer had to stop because of a sleep disorder
1976, Palace Theater, Waterbury Ct. We saw Queen as the opening act for Mott the Hoople. All the shows were general admission at this venue. Ironically Brian May is still a close friend of Ian Hunter.
Primus "Tribute to Kings" tour, stops at St. Augustine Amphitheater in a few weeks... should be interesting Flogging Molly with Tiger Army a few weeks after that..... love having a good venue just a few miles from the house after having to drive to jacksonville for almost 20 years to see music
