What was Cooper Kupp's 40 time? I am sure we would all take him despite his slow 4.62 40 time. I don't want London either tbh was just pointing out that speed isn't always everything.
Speed isn’t everything with London, but it is something for a lot of guys. Burks included. He was supposed to have massive hands and blazing speed and he has neither. I think he’ll be a good WR in the NFL especially considering the role Samuel has created in the modern offense, but he’s got some legitimate red flags IMO. Meanwhile people embellish London’s red flags and for some reason, pigeonhole him as a jump ball guy.
Ironically I'm thinking It will go down the other way. I'm curious because I really think that JJ goes top 10 and KT falls out of top 10. I feel so good about It, I would bet on It at this point. Not saying I "like" It, just think this will be a fact on draft day.
The wide receiver in this draft that is most the mold of Deebo Samuel is Skyy Moore, Western Michigan since everyone keeps bringing Samuel up
Just remember what I said to you. I’m confident in this prediction. I put in the time watching tape on so many different prospects and to me Burks falling is a smoke screen. He was dominant with the ball in his hands in the SEC.
Standard practice on here. Just like when people rate a player because they went to the same college and they will defend that player with their lives. I don't really like Burks either tbh Wilson is too similar to Moore as well. Olave impressed me at the combine and on tape, after I looked, seems to have good hands. Williams as well but the injury worries me with our record on the injury front. I also like Doubs in the third or possibly 4th. At the end of the day, I'd rather go all D if they ended up all-pro talented players, it is what we need on both sides of the team, talented players.
I’m not saying the guy is going to be a bust by any means I’m just saying that there is a whole lot of hype behind the Burks train and as soon as he got in front of scouts and coaches and compared himself to other players physically, that hype died down a bit. There’s smoke there, and probably some fire.
This is why I really wish we would have traded for Cooper or even traded for Hill which certainly wasn’t my preference… but this WR room can’t stand the way it is or we’re doing Wilson a disservice. To me there are four guys in this class that stand out above the rest and if you aren’t getting one of them then you might as well be bringing back Keelan Cole. Wilson, Williams, Olave and London. To me you absolutely need to walk away with at least one of them to say that you’ve truly upgraded your wide receiver room. I don’t even disagree that going all defense in the first round is a good plan but like I said if you aren’t drafting one of those top four guys then I don’t think you can really say you’ve upgraded your room and that room needs some upgrading.
I don't disagree on trading for a player, I just felt Cooper would have turned into a cash bag carrier if he arrived at the Jets, the trade for Hill was exciting as he is an exciting player and still in his prime, it would have been quite the eye-opener but for me AJ Brown would have been the ideal acquisition, unfortunately, it was an unlikely long shot from the off. Also, Metcalfe would have been worth it as well. I don't particularly want all D in the 1st round just all-pro players lol but if JD thought the all-pro players were D and they turned into such then I would be happy, we are very short on top-end talent on both sides of the field.
You said he didn't produce until year 3 He produced in year 1, that was a valid reply. If you said he slid in year 2 then produced again in year 3 that would be a different scenario but you didn't
As a Jets fan, any receiver not catching 1000 yds isn’t producing and needs to be upgraded immediately.
Any Jets fan of the last 10 seasons would surely be happy to have that kind of Rookie WR lol But again I conceded your point about moaning fans lol
You’d think a team starving for talent would be grateful for any morsel. We finally have a cook in the kitchen and instead of letting him make a full meal, fans are clamoring for 6 turkeys jic some of the turkeys don’t turn out right. Can you just let the man work on some mac and cheese. We can re-evaluate turkeys later. I need to eat soon
Here is my opinion on which WR the Jet's should pick in the draft: I don't know and I'll trust JD to make that decision.
