I honestly should pay more attention to what time President Biden is usually paraded out. Sundown Syndrome? I'm not being facetious. However, I do laugh when people say that he should be tested for dementia et al and have his results made public. First of all, the joke that is HIPAA would never allow it without his consent and second of all, the President of the United States has dementia to the world ain't never gonna happen while he's in office. I wouldn't doubt that he's on Levodopa or Aricept or something, but you'll never hear about it until he's dead and buried. Ronald Reagan had the onset of Alzheimer's during his Presidency, no question.
Offensive was supposed to slow and focus on the East. Biden goes to Poland and Russia bombs Lviv just now - 50 miles from Poland border.
I didn’t watch the whole thing or pay too closely to the content but Biden’s speech in Poland seemed to have good energy. Not that it would’ve changed much but this is the sort speech that should’ve been done when they opted to send the pinhead we have for a VP a couple weeks ago.
As if New England sports fans are so smart... Lots of energy maybe but nothing substantial other than calling for a regime change in Russia. Time for a motivated apparatchik to step up and save Mother Russia...
This is Putin's War. He is going to have to settle it in a way that works for all parties or he is going to have to be replaced. Obviously he can hold onto power as long as he wants but the costs to Russia are incrementing daily and at some point he's going to have to recognize that fact. Put another way: what are Russia's possible gains moving forward? What are their possible expenditures and losses? It's not a zero sum situation for them any more. It's a loser.
This isn't 1972. Lies didn't work all that well back then but they are a certain loser proposition now.
No.. In fact, a long drawn out war of attrition is exactly what the Ukrainians need. Insurgents have the advantage in a long drawn out war. short supply lines. Can simply fade into the population at will and strike at any time. Russia will have the burden of long supply lines they'd have to protect AND face a hostile population. The Chinese called it death by a thousand cuts. Just keep on bleeding the Bear and eventually the Bear dies.
