AJ Brown talk Is starting to pick up now. This is a guy I would absolutely love to trade for. All the other WR for me has been, meh, at best for me. AJ Brown makes too much sense though. If JD pulls that trade off without over killing our draft capital. I would be so fucking happy. Please, JD!! Make it happen!
I don't think Tyreek was dissing the Jets. He was dissing the State of New Jersey for the Income tax he would have had to pay. No Income Tax in Florida.
Yes, I agree after I saw the full comment he made. The first one I saw was edited and appeared to me as if he was scoffing/laughing at the idea of playing for the Jets.
Just another perspective on why AJ values Elijah so much. We know the crying video but this one says why he loves playing with him
I can't say I like Whitehead's outfit but I do like what he said about how persistent the Jets were in calling him, courting him and signing him.
Jarrad Davis back to the Lions. I liked the risk that Joe Douglas took on him last year. I thought he had high upside. Instead, he got hurt instantly, and never did anything. He won't be missed because he was never really here. Oh well. I wonder if this opens up the Jets to sign a LB or draft one?
Someone has probably already posted this, but I am glad the jets missed out on Hill. $30M per year for a non-QB????? Yes,, I know what Adams signed for and that was stupid, too. Plus, in Miami Hill is not going to have a great talent like Mahomes throwing to him from every angle after escaping the pass rush. Nor will he have Kelsi drawing the attention of every DB when Kelsi runs down the field. This was a HUGE overpay by a mediocre team for a player that largely benefitted from the system and his QB. Would much rather give the reps to Moore, and we are paying Davis way too much money to sit this year. Think of how many guys the jets can sign with that $30M they are "saving" EVERY YEAR for Hill to play for the Dolphins.
Hills contract guarantees him $72 mill over three years and then has a non guaranteed year at $23 mill there’s a fluff fifth year that pushes the avg up but he’s not getting $30 mill a year
The reports I read labeled it as a 4 year deal worth $120M. My point was that is is a huge overpay. If you want to split hairs, feel free. There is one in every crowd who misses the point of the post and argues about something.
I think that might be deceptive. My understanding is that the fish have the option in March 2023 to cut him and save the remainder of the contract, but if they don't cut him then (so, 1 year in), then the rest of the contract becomes guaranteed as well. Barring a major injury, given how much the fish gave up in draft capital to get him, i doubt they cut him in March 2023 when they will then have to pay him $72 million for his one year under contract.
I don't see that guarantee in the contract. Spotrac has it as a 4 year 95 mill contract if he is cut in2026 which would avoid the 43.9 million due in 2026. If he is on the roster in March, 2023 it guarantees his 2024 salary, nothing else. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/miami-dolphins/tyreek-hill-19119/
